Request - Auto-face & Auto-track Camera Command - I want my character to look at me.

I have a very simple request for Mr. Yoshida and the Dev Team.

Please create an option (Command) that makes our character follow the camera with their eyes and heads. Said otherwise Auto-face & Auto-track the camera.

Nothing out of the ordinary, the character just has to follow the camera under normal circumstances, meaning normal gameplay, while standing, sitting, walking, running, riding a mount, et cetera.

I know it's already a thing while Gposing but I want to use it everywhere outside of it.

My characters would look really cute staring at me while AFKing and while using the Idling Camera or while just moving the camera around.

I’d also like to see the face/body and the eyes be able to face different directions… you can do this in the portrait creator, but not in gpose. For example, character is turned towards the left, but eyes face camera straight on for a sideways glance. Looks so good but can’t do it in gpose without posing at extreme angles.

This is very easily doable in gpose though? Lock the face in the position you want and then have the eyes locked in a different one. If my computer wasn't unusable at the moment I'd get visual references, it involves the camera facing settings.

Ty, I’ll take another look when I get in-game. Maybe the button just looks different in gpose than it does in the portrait maker. I know where the face camera button is, I didn’t realize gpose had one for eyes.

Sorry to derail your thread, Sigma! I thought we were talking about similar things.

Eye direction works in Gpose (it's a button in the movements and emotes settings) but it's clunkier than the portrait and you can't turn their head.

You need to adjust it while they're not in "movement paused" state; it only stays put while they have their head turned and will revert if you switch off the head-turn toggle while unpaused. And you need to switch the eye-following on and off manually rather than the one-shot "press button and they'll look this way" approach for portraits.
