Suggestion: Add option to Cancel/Abandon a cutscene

Case: i'm doing MSQ and watching cutscenes while i wait for duties to pop, often for a class that's different than my main, but the estimated wait time isn't always reliable and sometimes a duty pops during a cutscene, giving me no choice but to skip the cutscene, forcing me to then look up the cutscene afterwards

Suggestion: ask the player if they want to "abandon" a cutscene, on top of the current option to skip, with the option to "abandon" then letting the player to watch from the start again when it's more convenient

Doesn't the cutscene/quest restart when you enter a duty during a cutscene? It happened plenty of times to me.

Yes, but this isn't even slightly suggested in the duty prompt when it appears in a cutscene. It's pretty fair for someone to assume that it would result in a skip either way.

That only happens when the class/job you're watching the cutscene in is the same as the one you queued as, if it's not, you are indeed forced to either quit the cutscene to change, or decline the queue and requeue once the cutscene is over.

so apparently the only option that doesn't "stress the newbies" is either pressing 1211111111, or do nothing at all.

Also, sometimes emergencies IRL happen, and when you think you have set aside "sufficient time to view the cutscene in its entirety" you end up getting a call from a household member that their bicycle has a flat tire and you end up unplugging the router to force a disconnect or otherwise deliberately crashing the game since the cutscene cannot be skipped.

    (Ask me how I know!)

A workaround would be to abandon the quest and restart it. Then you can watch the cutscenes again. Of course not so convenient if it was a longer quest...

It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

    It depends on the cutscene.

Some of them you can accept the que pop and when you return to the quest the cutscene will start playing from the beginning, others say you can't accept the duty pop because you're in the cinematic, so you have to choose to skip the duty pop or skip the remainder of the cutscene. This is the case even if the job you're on while in the cutscene is the same as the one you queued in on.
