    the error actually happens before you even get to the character select screen. if i select play from the main menu, it will just give me the error and force close the game, otherwise, if i go to the data center menu, i can only go to eu or jp, if i select oce or na, it gives me the exact same error, cause the data isnt all in one place apparently so it wont let me even reach a character select screen.

I guess i should add that i understand this is an extremely rare bug, and it usually pertains to a different cause, such as a failed paid world transfer, but i guess i just want to say that i hope at the very least i can get my character back someday, i dont even care about my sub going to waste at the moment, i just want my wol back : (

    Yea same for my room mate.. looks like yours got put in the accepted.. hopefully mine will as well.. I wouldn't be so upset about it except my room mate and I are both 1.0 players so for him to lose those characters I am sure would really make him mad. If I lost mine I know I would be. If this doesn't get fixed I am more then sure he will be quitting and not coming back.

    Welp now mine got moved into unable to verify... Guess someone is getting a phone call Monday... and my room mate better not give me the phone bc someone gonna be sweatin on that other end.. SE has never been so disappointing....

    I myself ended up with his thing too, event tho sent practically the same exact bug report it was moved to insufficient information, here is one hope that next Maintenance will fix it because idk otherwise. At least can play on the main character on EU

    This is strange indeed.

    Not a single thread on here related to the 3084 error has ever had an official reply, and searching the Internet, nobody has ever said anything about how it was resolved for them.

    So, unless someone that has had this resolved by SE (can resolve by maintenance, but someone said it didn't work for them) replies with how it was resolved, we can only speculate.
    But in any case, this used to be like one post (Error 3084) in two or three years, now it is quite a few posts in a matter of a week or two...

    So despite me being able to log in now as I mentioned; I've been keeping my tabs on this thread to see if I can help everyone else solve theirs.

    As expected; they believe the maintenance fixed the issue BUT I do see they have OCE maintenance coming up very soon so perhaps they're doing another run of it to fix more instances of it (Or it's just server stability fixes)

    With that said, I did get this reply from one of my many tickets I had submitted on one of my JP alts; meaning they did see it as a major issue and escalated it. However clearly it was not fixed for everyone.

    I'll send a reply to this letting them know that others are still having the issue.

    Same here, new hotfix and OCE maintenance didn't fix the issue for me. Either need to wait a little longer or send a new bug report referring to this hotfix post
    upd. fixed for me after 24 hours since hotfix. Still no answer from SE support though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    When I tried right after the maintenance it did not work, but I tried again this morning and the issue was suddenly resolved, and I can connect to EU and OC DC again.
    Really hope it has been fixed for others as well.
