    Unable to Login NA Data Center due to Data Center Travel Beta Testing

    Hello,

    I have been encountering an error every time I try to login to North America data center (where my main is). Every time I select "Start game" it loads into an error with the code "3084" And says:
    "Your character data is currently being transferred. This may take several minutes, or in some cases, more than an hour. Please wait and try login again after."

    I have not been able to login NA for a week now. However, I am able to select EU or Japan and login there.

    I have a reason to believe it is because of the test of the cross region travel. Since the same error occurs when I select the Oceanian data center and North America.

    Reached out to support and searched all FAQ and nothing is helpful. I have a reason to believe it is from the Cross-Region Testing and it completely server sided. I am able to login into NA with another account on the same server.

    Since it lasted a week, I expect it to continue to last until next maintenance, which is a waste of subscription time.

    You can try using a different connection such as using a smart phone as a hotspot, it may work.

    I would try reinstalling the game if that doesn't work. And lastly, if those two suggestions don't work, I would try logging in from a different IP than you normally use and on a different PC, such as at a friends or family member's house.

    Other than that, it is a rare error that usually happens when a Home World transfer (the paid one on mogstation) fails to complete and the only way it seems to resolve is waiting for maintenance.

    If you have no luck with my suggestions, login to your MogStation and on the bottom left in menu click "Support Centre" and follow the instructions to login and create a ticket for assistance directly from SE, this forum is only Moderated and they can't directly help you.

    I tried a different connection with a different device too. It is not a paid Home World Transfer that i did, it was just a world visit to Leviathan from Balmung and came back fine. Since that day i was never able to log back in the game.

    I already submitted a bug report and a support ticket, they have asked me to make a forum post after nothing was helpful. Problem still there I just tried to login today.

    Yes, this is the correct forum, once they view your issue, it will be moved to Accepted Bugs or Separate Support Required forum, though I think you'll find they won't be able to do anything, and you'll have to wait for maintenance.

    Just saying, as I mentioned above, this issue you have, is usually, but not always, related to a failed paid transfer and all of the posts with this exact issue had no resolve.
    The only fix seemed to be a maintenance where the system forces the characters in travel to reset to their Home World.

    I know you only Traveled, but it is the same error, 3084 is a failed transfer due to unknown reasons. And it is extremely rare to get it.

    Issue is still pending for 9 days now. I am really disappointed if i have to wait until SE decides to have a maintenance. Still also surprised there are no responses anymore from my direct support tickets I submitted since before this post. I suppose SE does not care unless it happens to more people.

    It's not that they don't care, it's just that, they won't shut down the servers, just for you to gain access to your character.

    Literally only 5 players out of 30 million have had this error.

    Edit:
    Next maintenance will be on Tuesday the 7th of May.

    Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    If you have not done so already, please try visiting a different Data Center and/or connecting to a different Data Center and then return to your primary Data Center to see if it helps resolve the issue.

    If this is only affecting one character, then it may be something to do with your locally-saved settings. Go to 'My Documents' > 'My Games' > 'Final Fantasy XIV' and delete that folder. If there are any corrupted files that are associated only with that character, this will get rid of them. Right click on the folder itself after deleting the contents, if it is set as read only, please uncheck that and re-launch Final Fantasy XIV.

    If this does not solve the issue, try updating your graphics card drivers and doing a clean boot. To do a clean boot simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

    Please be sure to install the game to the C: drive as this works best with Final Fantasy XIV. Lastly, please be sure that no background processes are interfering with FFXIV (i.e. Anti-virus software, OneDrive, Discord etc.)

    If the issue persists, unfortunately it may take some time for the servers to update and sync. At that time we would only be able to recommend waiting until they do so.

    Yeah i saw the maintenance date, hopefully that will help. And I am not expecting them to do something like you said, just at least something.
