FFXIV Dalmascan /Lore/Return ?

Hello all i was wondering will we or SE ever said anything about Dalmasca ? i know in dawntrail we get some island and the "new world" , but what about this part of the world ?
or am i missing something , im asking because im replaying the game and i reach the part of the Ivalice Raid ,

Still if anyone got some insight let me know.

Dalmasca's in an uncomfortable position where the developers essentially consider it Matsuno's part of the world, and just won't write it without him. So unless they bring in Matsuno again, we almost definitely won't, sorry.

But also, the fact it's Matsuno's part of the world means that it's really easy to find equivalents or pre-fill. If you want more of that style, it exists already, and if you've already played all of Matsuno's games then you can imagine how the rest of that region feels.

But since you've only started the Ivalice raids, it's worth noting that the relic weapon storyline in Shadowbirngers, Save the Queen, is also in that part of the world.

I was waiting for a more positive response lol , but i wonder if Matsuno , is part of SE should they be able to do it without him ? and about me well im alredy pass the whole storyline , been on the game since 1.0.

Matsuno is not an employee of Square Enix and has not been so for quite some time. All of his work on XIV is on a contract basis. If they wish for him to come back for any reason they can arrange that. Matsuno himself still occasionally publicly talks about the game (mostly when people tweet at him about it, but also when Sakaguchi was first starting to play), and he delivered a message for the game's anniversary, so from all accounts the option is open.

Last we heard about the Dalmasca plotline following Save the Queen, if they return to that plot it would be once the country is free.

Dalmasca is now also in the annoying position of the fact that it’s tied to Bozja. If they want to do anything else with it they need to set completing Bozja all the way to dalriada as a requirement. This is a pretty big pre-requisite for another quest (arguably the largest pre-requisite the game has for a single quest line if they made it)

Since they won’t even make functionally MSQ side content like eden mandatory u can easily see them never returning to dalmasca even ignoring the contract issues with matsuno

Actually, we haven't told you the quest name: the Bozja storyline (officially called Save the Queen) starts with the quest Hail to the Queen, which you'll be able to find in Kugane after finishing both all the Ivalice raids, and Shadowbringers.

Dalmasca is now also in the annoying position of the fact that it’s tied to Bozja. If they want to do anything else with it they need to set completing Bozja all the way to dalriada as a requirement. This is a pretty big pre-requisite for another quest (arguably the largest pre-requisite the game has for a single quest line if they made it)

And yeah, a direct continuation of the story would be a little haywire in this direction, although they could plausibly tell a parallel story. Like maybe something set entirely in Golmore Jungle, or something following characters that appear/are referenced and aren't completely wrapped up in Bozja, like Fran and Ashe. I could see a Lyon story working, but it'd be an awkward toeing the line.

Ivalice is my favourite world of any FF franchise, I would love to see more of it.

As a big FFXII/Tactics fan, I just want the loose ends at the end of Save the Queen questline to lead somewhere.

It is absolutely CRIMINAL to have "that man" only appear in cutscenes and the leader Fran listens to being completely unnamed (and inexperienced, like a certain character I know).

I pray for more Ivalice content eventually. Would dig hearing "Struggle for Freedom" play in this game.

I mean yeah, Alphinaud was pretty bad at that, there's no denying it. But also, experience can't be granted from nothing, you've gotta get it somewhere, and the only way to get leadership experience is to lead.
