Does preordering Dawntrail not come with shadowbringers and Endwalker?

I have ARR, Heavensward, and stormblood active on my account. I am currently capped at level 70 experience wise. I preordered Dawntrail...does this not come with the other 2 expansions (shadowbringers/endwalker)? Do I have to buy those in order to progress?

Preordering DT will allow you to play SHB and EW... when DT actually launches on July 2. Not before then.

You will get every expansion on launch day, but you don't get them beforehand. If you want them right now you have to buy Endwalker.

Seems like one of those weird things they really should look into changing. If you get a trial player to buy the new expansion, let them get those non-trial expansions now so they can keep going.

The MSQ is linear, so yes, getting Dawntrail will give you Shadowbringers and Endwalker.

However, it will only give it when you input the Dawntrail code, which you can't do until Dawntrail officially releases on July 2nd.

In order to play Shadowbringers and Endwalker before then, you'll need to purchase Endwalker.

It's not all that deep, really. If people enjoy a game and would be purchasing the xpac anyway, why not pre-order and get some extra goodies along with it?

No matter how many reviews you watch and how many bug fixes you wait for before making the purchase, you'll still lose out on the most precious MMO experience there is: exploring new content for the first time when it's still new for everyone. The only way to have that is by taking a leap of faith and buying the expansion before the servers go live.
