[LG Monitor] - Not showing full screen during cutscene

Hello,

I recently bought a new monitor - LG UltraGear 34GP63A-B - however, whenever I enter a cutscene, it centralizes the cutscene not using the full screen as screenshot shown. For the rest of the game, it works perfectly.

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Please try the following:

- Double check the in-game resolution settings to better match your monitor.
- Switching between Fullscreen and Borderless windowed modes.
- Disable Full Screen Optimizations. To disable this, please find the "ffxiv_dx11.exe" and right click it and select properties. Then under the compatibility tab there will be a check box labeled "Disable Full Screen Optimizations". Check it and click apply.

Note that for me on Windows 11, selecting " Disable Full Screen Optimizations" caused GSYNC to stop working.
De-selecting it restored GSYNC.

Afaik FFXIV doesn't support ultrawide resolutions in cutscenes. Makes sense, since the UW ratio is different and it would show much more of the screen than the cutscene creators would want. They would basically have to redo all of them to make sure they are fine for all the available screen ratios. It's easier to just have black bars on the sides for those.
