SEA players and resident of US/EU, how are you paying subs right now after the change

My address has never had any special characters. Tried every solution nothing works, If this goes past a Week SE will really catch Hell.

Do you have a saved payment method? If you can, delete it but make sure you still have those details at hand in case you may need them later (most likely not since you'll be stuck with payment error later when trying to make a purchase). Also you need to look whats the correct way to add an address and check the zipcode as well

No saved payment method address and all other info is correct.

Did you try on Edge, with all cookies and stuff deleted? You can try using a hotel address w/o special characters (no - ), and their ZIP and see if it works.

Hello! My FC lead also raised this concern to me since I will potentially have the same problem (at that time) and I tried it out last week.

Just a few info:
- My account is EU region
- The address I put is my actual real address
- I used a debit card to purchase crysta (RCBC)

It prompted me to put some details and to my surprise it actually worked. If it didn't, my next best option would be Paypal (as expensive as it is thanks to their misc fees) and Amazon, although I haven't tried using the latter yet.

Wait, does this also affect steam? My steam account region is different from my actual place of where I live. Does that mean I won't be able to pay through steam because of regional differences? Sorry I'm slow, please clarify for me

If you load money into your Steam Wallet and then use that to pay, no, that has nothing to with Square Enix.

If you use Auto-Renew, it may have some check in place, unsure, but again, that is Steam processing the payment so it should also be unaffected.

I just used Steam Payment to buy a costume on the Online Store without any funds loaded in the Wallet and it worked fine, but then I don't have any billing information set on the MogStation as I don't use that for payments, I use Steam.

Funnily when I requested for a birthdate change because I put in the wrong one and forgot about it, they were fine with my fake address even when I told them I live in SEA and couldn't put in my actual address. They proceeded to change my birthdate after confirming my account ownership. So why did this become a problem out of all sudden? Oh and because SE payment system is so great I've always subbed by GT cards I bought from online stores or by Crysta using Paypal anyway. Because my debit card refused to work in Mogstation EVEN if it worked flawlessly in SE store when purchasing ShB and Endwalker. It was never a reliable payment system to begin with. They have two payment systems and the more reliable one is being put in SE store, not for subs. People pay subs more than they buy new games, SE.... you should know about this.

Have some empathy towards your... I would say a large number of Final Fantasy fans in SEA, Square Enix. We went through all sorts of things just to pay in order to play your game. We paid more than we should have because card method didn't always work and currently isn't working on Mogstation. I said 'more' because all other methods like buying GT cards from other stores and using Paypal balance require us to pay more for the service than simply currency conversion through cards. There are extra fees in there.

So we pay more, we get less service and there isn't even a server region for us to play... which is okay, fine, we can just play anywhere else, as long as we can speak english it shouldn't be a big problem. It is however becoming a big problem if you refuse to even acknowledge THERE ARE a lot of SEA players affected by your changes and there is not even a proper communication coming from you.

SEA, marginalized as always by Square Enix. I hope the team reads this. You are essentially telling your paying customers to find a way TO PAY you. Absolutely ridiculous.

I literally can't sub right now. I tried to add another retainer. I went to update my payment information by unregistering and registering it again, only to be met with "This card is unavailable."

I don't know what that means. I can't use my card anywhere with SQUARE ENIX. Its a simple visa debit. I've used it in the past, but now I can't. Even after updating my address and everything. Nothing works.
