    There should be a 1v1 duel fate/critical engagement in every zone

    The 1v1 bojza duels before the flare star cheese were some of the most fun I had in the game. I think there should be a 1v1 duel fate similar to the critical engagements in bozja in every single zone in this game, tuned to the same level of difficulty.

    The reason I think this would be nice is that:

    1. it brings people out into the overworld again
    2. a new player would find it fun and engaging to see veteran players doing a duel, or they can die to one and be encouraged to improve
    3. it would be a lot of fun battle content

    An example would be some starting zone, maybe a large scrawny looking bear is rampaging around and one person is chosen to put this bear down, then halfway through the engagement at 50% health the bear phase changes and some internal mushroom parasite emerges and the bear gains new abilities as you try to cull it (like the Anemos bear). Would be a nice event for say a Central Shroud 1v1 or something..

    Now I don't know the exact details of how this would be implemented, I leave that up to the developers. For example:

    1. how would the duels be synced? ie should they be done with all your abilities or synced down to the zone level?
    2. how would participants be selected? In old bozja it was random from people who completed a previous CE perfectly, now there's some notoriety system on top. I'm not sure how this would work in the overworld.

    the overworld zones are different than instanced places like Bozja. There are limits (eg. number of people in an instance), different programming in instances that the devs can control more than open world zones. that's why things like lost actions can be supported there with instant teleportations to CE's and the 1v1 duel system with notoriety. The open worlds that currently exist cannot do this.

    I'm not sure what the devs can and can not do can be interpreted by us. The devs said that adding a checkmark to minions/mounts you've obtained was impossible, yet here we are.

    Also it's code, nothing is "impossible" just comes down to a how much work it would be.

    In terms of mechanics it obviously doesn't have to be exactly like a CE with lost actions or notoriety. I'm saying bring the concept over to the open world, the details of the implementation I obviously leave to the devs as that is their job.
