Can we have the hellhound gearset available to buy with Trophy Crystals?

That's the only unobtainable thing that I want back, really. We have the hellhound weapons, the hellhound barding but the hellhound gearset is lost in time forever. If possible make it glowy like the weapons, something that you can spend by achieving high ranks in ranked CC.

This topic along with various related Feast rewards gets brought up regularly in the PvP section of the forum and generally repeats the following key points:

1.) Rerelease is okay, if the prestige of the original is in some shape preserved (item quality, rank stamps, calling the new replica)

2.) Should definitely be part of Ranked. Not necessarily top 100, think of how Overwatch 2 handles competitive points for gold and emerald weapons.

3.) Yoshi P having a repeatedly clear stance of not wanting to rerelease feast top 100 items and JP players liking the prestige they bring for top performers.

This includes the Feast Season 5 Hellhound Armour. Frankly I'm stunned why they'd drop that set in the benchmark selection when hardly anyone can have it, unless they have a plan to rerelease it.

All of the previous Feast sets and Hellhound armor should be available in 7.X but for a tremendous amount of trophy crystals or wolf marks. Like 20,000 each piece. And they can name the set differently like "Pretender's Shadowcleaver Set" or "Replica Shadowcleaver's Set" as stated above to differentiate it for people who earned it originally.

I don't get the 'prestige' argument, top ranked Feast was FULL of people just buying win-trades so a lot of the people that have those older super rare Feast armor sets weren't legitimate, so why does it matter? Maybe over on JP they didn't do that, don't know since they also claimed to not use mods and then got caught raiding from the Hubble telescope, but on NA it's not a secret that there was a LOT of problems with Feast.

Just put it on the battle pass system they have currently with the Fierce Tyrant or whatever and be done with it, there's no point restricting entire gear sets to like 100 people per server when there's very few people that actively use it anyways, just keep the mounts limited.

Sure, in a nutshell the Overwatch 2 Ranked currency system works like this:

• Get a small amount of points for wins (10) and draws (5) regardless of rank. Unlockable in question is 3000 points.
• Unsure if it is still in Overwatch but would suggest it anyhow for FFXIV - a bunch more points for end-of-season tier reward
  (i.e. more points if you are in Crystal > Diamond > Platinum > etc., like with Trophy Crystals now, could always give a bonus to Top 100/30/1)
• Gold Weapons are always available, Emerald/Jade weapons are the year 2024/2025 reward. For FFXIV purporses would drop the latter for now since we don't have Ranked Top 100 rewards to cycle through anymore (sadly)

Basically, it incentivizes you to keep playing and winning, it incentivizes you to score high - but at the same time it will NOT lock you eternally out if you do not score high, so even a Gold, Silver or Bronze player can eventually reach something.

This is "actual" ranked currency, not the meme we call Trophy Crystals (lol) or Commendation Crystals (why is it Diamond+ only, not a wolf collar replacement).

To add to this post, why not a proper Ranked currency rather than Trophy Crystals / Wolfmarks? If anything lower-rank Ranked PvP could use the incentive over using the casual currencies (Trophy Crystal shop really needs a viable sink and the old Battlepass items though, for real now). Would also probably be easier to stomach for those who have fought for it.

Can you prove your claim and can you show statistics how many did it relative to how many were legit? I do not deny they exist, but I am a bit tired of the "wintrader/cheater" argument when there have been (most likely) vastly more legit players for whom the prestige and achievement mean something than bad actors. The existence of wintraders, cheaters and cheats does not mean the majority did it, thank you.

Battle Pass is a terrible suggestion. See above post for a better system.

Yeah sure just let me pull up my comprehensive excel document listing all the sales from all the win-traders and who they sold to, should be real easy... oh wait, no, the simple fact is that it happened and it was pervasive enough that actual PVP players who did Feast were complaining about it near daily. It's like arguing that 'not all raiders' use plugins when most top raiders in the community actively acknowledge that pretty much everyone these days uses them, so much so that it has a portion of the playerbase that WANTS the plugins to be actively incorporated into the game itself.

The first 4 Seasons were okay. There were not many cheating players cause the game wasn't as big as it is now and there were not many cheats "developed". After that, third party stuff grew rapidly. Especially during the Shadowbringers Expac.

Still no Reason to rob the Veterans who did it legitimately. Also Yoshi P said no on quite a few occasions now. I guess it is to much to hope for people finally stopping to beat the dead horse.
