I would rather not have the role action system, even if skills do the same thing, I would prefer the name and animation to fit the job instead of it all being the same. I was a big fan of AST refresh animation and FX

Yeah that’s exactly what I mean, the animations used for the tank role majority all belonged to DRK. WAR had a stun/silence which looked amazing and fit WAR so well, PLD had shield bash which I feel could be worked on to make it have the cooldown of the other stuns.
WHM was Shroud of Saints, not Lucid Dreaming
Would be nice to get Divine Seal back, though Temperance isn't horrible with mit on it.
So that’s not what I meant at all. I am talking about the animations only. For example, instead of all the tanks having stun with low blow and the same animation (which originally belonged to DRK) PLD would have shield bash (just put it in cooldown instead of GC) and WAR would have its amazingly animated stun back from pre Stormblood. The skills all still do the same thing it just fits the job better and adds more uniqueness to the job
So I would want them to keep the purpose of the role actions, but like you say, just delete the whole system. Give every tank what the role actions are, same with healers and dps. Change the animation and name and leave it at that so each job feels more to its aesthetic. DRK has its own two damage mitigation animation and they were amazing, same with AST and their refresh it just fit so much better
Also I wonder if there could be a way for us to let them know in such a large scale that it could happen. Plus those individual skills will fill the gaps when leveling more so people have more of a reward when doing so
