But then we have specialized inventories for Eureka, Bozja and Island Sanctuary.
Well the inventory is tied to the zone I guess. But why not some sort of workshop - a special zone for crafting with a specialized inventory for your mats?
It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

All they needed to fix was a glamour log and 99% of our inventory issues would vanish...
But nope, instead we got a bastardized bank they throw patchwork at once every few months.

Because its just that easy, and they definitely haven't attempted to implement one because why would they do something everyone agrees is a good idea.

How would a glamour log even work different from the achievment log? Every crafting recipe you craft, item you gather and fish you catch for the first time get's logged. All the mounts, minions, hairstyles, umbrellas, orchestrion songs...They've mentioned in the past that they're aware of the demand for a glamour log and would like to implement one, but are held back by technical debt. As a player, I want them to bite the bullet and start throwing bodies at the problem. As a tech worker, I'm deeply sympathetic to anyone tasked with overhauling outdated systems and totally understand why they'd prefer to keep kicking the can down the road.
Somehow they can implement an log for all of that and can expand it every patch. Achievements even log your progress. But for armor it is impossible?

It's gotten to the point that it seems to be mostly excuses by now. They are able to implement new systems, systems that can procure items. The achievement system can also generate items, and they have items that create items like the gear coffers. How would a glamour log even work different from the achievment log? To save storage they could have made a requirement to collect all pieces of gear for a given tier to be able to log and glamour it, which would be 5*7+4 pieces of armor + weapons for one achievement rather than save each individual piece.
They could possibly have utilized a virtual inventory slots only visible by the server to verify and apply logged glamours, which would only be loaded in certain spaces like the inn to minimize server strain (same excuse as for the glamour coffer and whatnot).
Something like (server checks if you have an achievement -> Generates items from said achievement into an inaccessible inventory -> Apply desired glamour -> Clear the inaccessible inventory).
Still would want to hear a very concrete reason for why they have such issues with it and methods they have tried other than "we can't".
A lot of my space issues came from the large amount of Furnishings I had nowhere to put- I'd have liked to be able to Use them and store them in the Housing inventory even if I didn't have a House or Apartment

They have shown that they can make new additions to the system. There is also existing systems in place that could have been used as a compromise with a similar effect. They've mentioned in the past that they're aware of the demand for a glamour log and would like to implement one, but are held back by technical debt. Its hard not to hoard when most dungeons forcefully give you useless materia, gear you don't want and outdated crafting materials.
See the meme of people literally sprinting to the end of Crystal towers exit lest they be swamped with piles of garbage in their inventory.

What's worth recognizing is that vendors are also effectively a form of inventory. Permanent and infinite. If you can freely buy items from an NPC vendor, there's no reason to hold onto any items you aren't imminently using.
