"An unexpected error has occured. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV. (17)"

An issue keeps cropping up while I am trying to play the game. Seemingly at random, the game will freeze and an error message in a separate window will appear saying An unexpected error has occured. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV. (17).

I have managed to fix it for a little while multiple times but it always seems to come back.

It is confined to one computer only at the very least, as my laptop is unaffected.

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, switching to a different world server to log in, and deleting the ffxiv folder from my documents. I'm not quite sure where else to proceed.

For further troubleshooting please attach a full dxdiag log file here or all the output of the Final Fantasy XIV System Information Tool.
