4. Choose Mouth type 2
5. Set the character in Character Creation to face the light in La Noscea, Thanalan or Gridanian residence.
6. Pay attention to the large horizontal dent that is present at the bottom of the character's face model and runs in a straight line through the middle of the lips and surrounding cheek areas.
Additional Information:
I'm attaching comparative screenshots from the current version of the game (Endwalker 6.58) and the Dawntrail Official Benchmark to illustrate the presence of this dent, in comparison with the original face model currently available in the game, which does not have this defect.
Despite the fact that this deep horizontal dent is constantly present on the character's face model, its effect is much stronger in any directional light. Including night light, artificial indoor lighting or directional light in some frames of the benchmark movie.
This defect in the lower part of the character's face model seriously distorts facial features in any lighting.
- The central part of the lips and the area surrounding them are strongly pressed inward in a horizontal straight line.
- Due to this, the lips look concave inward and a deep, long dent appears in the area of the corners of the lips.
- Because of this, this entire area gets a deep “dent” effect.
- In any lighting, this defect triples and the character gets a "marionette" look. In harsher lighting (as in some moments of the film's benchmark), the shadows on her face appear as if she has grown a beard.
Additional Information 2:
This defect is present on all types of Miqo'te faces, but it is most pronounced on face 3 (Seekers of the Sun).
