    Weekly for Tomestone Upgrades

I really think the game should implement a weekly to get upgrades for tomestone gear. I don't understand why this is no longer a thing. It was done back in ARR. And now, we have more Jobs to gear up then before (in preparation for Dawntrail). This would be catered towards the more casual players that don't want to do savage.

Yes, they didn't have the coin system before. But having a weekly on top of that would make gearing up slightly more tolerable, especially if you have all Jobs at 90.

Thing is, outside of the end-of-expansion patch where they've doubled tomestones, we can't buy tomestone gear fast enough to match even the one weekly coin upgrade (which they've uncapped for this patch anyway).
More options are nice, sure, but in terms of gearing more jobs faster, more upgrade tokens won't help.

If you really do need them for whatever reason, check out the nuts vendor. It's only 2000 nuts to buy an accessory upgrade (vs 3000 for attire), so I buy those and save coins for attire.

The alliance raids don't offer coins for this exact thing?

At this point I don't feel there is a need to really upgrade anything anymore. Once Dawntrail hits all the fully augmented gear will be available with poetics. We also know from past expansions they will give us vouchers for a full set of hq crafted gear, which (just like the lvl 90 aug gear) will likely be outdated by the first dungeon anyway. And unless you are planning on power leveling one of the new classes up right at the launch of the expac, you don't need lvl 90 gear for that since you will have more than enough poetics for it by the time you hit 90 to get the upgraded set. Esp if you are wise enough to preplan and cap your poetics just before the expac drops.

And even so, just playing through the expansion is likely going to get at least a couple full sets worth of lvl 90 aug gear. So there is no real need to grind out the aug gear at this point unless you are specifically planning on usuing it for savage or ultimate. Otherwise its just busy work to stay occupied until DT launches.

You pretty much answered yourself. The ARR weekly was updated into the coin weekly so you could get one piece of augmented per week.

Then they took it a step farther with hunts and added in the armor/accessory augments purchased with hunt currency. That allows you to get an unlimited number of those per week, depending on how many hunts you choose to attend (though most hunters likely only get one per week this way).

Use the coins for your weapons, and hunt currency for your armor/accessories. All set.
