    Problem with mouse control

    Hi

    This evening I ran into a problem with the mouse. After playing for a little while, I can't change camera angle, or movement direction, with the mouse. It simply stops working, and then camera angle slowly tilts towards a top-down view and I can't stop that. The only way to fix it, is to restart the game, but the problem reappears after just a few minutes.

    I thought the mouse was the problem since it kinda old. But I have a reserve, a professional Ryzer gaming mouse, and it's the same problem using this one.

    The problem does NOT occur in other games, like WoW, Guild Wars 2, or several singleplayer games games like Metal Gear Solid V and Assassins Creed Valhalla.

    It have worked flawlessly for months, and now suddenly I have this problem. Any ideas?

    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Btw, I've tried re-installing the game, it didn't change anything at all.

    I have now reistalled windows 11, and reinstalled the game. Problem persists, but to a slightly lesser degree than before. Ingame, it will for most parts (not always) just stop and return to normal, BUT sometimes I have to restart the game.

    I'm pretty sure the problem is not on my end. As I said, other games works flawlessly, this is the ONLY game with these issues, and the problem is with two different mice.

    PLEASE HELP - worst part, is that's it horrible to join a duty when I don't know if controls will works all the way through, which it did NOT on one attempt earlier this evening. There are several duties I need to do, but I only dare do the daily roulette (levelling) since it give great exp and only takes a few minutes.

    Something mess up your control, did you install any 3rd party driver or tool for input? (including joystick / gamepad) ? did you check your usb ports / cable? FFXIV really dont likes it, when a device disconnects while running, it may not be work again after reconnect without restarting the whole game client.
    Never had this problem since launch 2013.

    I played for many hours yesterday without any issues at all, so it seems resolved somehow.

    And no, DarkArvan, I never ever installed any 3rd party tools. As said, I even did a clean install of windows, only installed Steam and this game after that. And of course some essential stuff like drivers for my graphic card.

    Not sure what's going on. Hopefully it's just some hickups that resolved itself
