Yes, it looks drastically better in the update.

Look, I don't want to take anything away from the people complaining right now because I get it. When I looked at my catgirl in the character creator I was like dang, this is different in a way I don't like. But I'll get used to it, or fantasia to something else if it really bothers me. Meanwhile, everything else in the game that isn't my characters face, (which doesn't look bad, it's small alterations that I will almost never notice when not explicitly looking for them) looks a lot better.

both issues are tied , people who like the change, people who hate the change and people who adapt....the latter being the most important, the more people of that specific circle exist the more empowered companies feel they the their mindset in " ohhh customers will like it eventually " this is a paid service remember that could care less if people agree or disagree with that sentiment.

Unlike other stuff people actually should be mad about.

It is because catgirls are not as affected. For the record, I think mine still looks good - because I made her so cute the upgrade was powerless to ruin her

Lol how do you say something like this with a straight face on a video game forum? My catgirls face getting puffier cheeks, weirdly larger eyes at slightly unwelcome angles, and losing her fangs doesn't even rate in like the top 1000 things I should maybe take a brave stand on with regards to a corporation. Get some perspective.

I guess, they looked at the download counters of various character altering mods and then decided to improve the graphics. And streamers like Asmongold also said, that the FF14 visuals are very bad. The demand for improvement is there.
