7.0 Graphical Update - Please take another look at hair colours

First off, thank you for all your hard work, SE. Overall I am very happy with the graphical changes, but there's one problem I've noticed.

I realised that some hair colours seem more desaturated than before, with it being more noticeable on some races than others. What I've also noticed is that black hair just doesn't appear as dark anymore as it used to, like in my screenshot comparison.



Please consider making hair colours a bit more saturated again and darkening the black hair colour to what it used to be.

As someone that uses black hair 99.9% of the time, I love the change. You can actually make out all the details of black hair now in all circumstances. In the current game I have to always put a highlight one shade lighter in it so it doesn't just look like a big black blob.

I have to agree. I love how the black hair looks now, with the update it just looks like it is greying. I hope they will add a bit more saturation to all hair colors before it goes live.

To me its red hair that needs help, but thats been true of the game forever.

It seems like the base color is just fine but the level of sheen is very very high on black hair;

It's especially apparent on many of the female Highlander hairstyles, where it's so reflective you can get brown highlights from the Black Shroud background.

This might be a result of the Character Creator's lighting, but I don't think there's any environment where black hair should be so reflective.

I like the fidelity of the hair textures, but it'd be very nice to have black hair (and likely other dark colors) be more light absorbent.

That I can agree with. I noticed that sheen on the exclusive hairstyle we have that looks similar to Thancred's. It was so extreme the hair looked like plastic. That could definitely be dialed down a bit.

Yeah, black hair is a bit too reflective, and looks grey under certain conditions, however is does kinda mellow out in the actual benchmark test.
