Why are hrothgals shorter than hrothguys?

I haven't seen folks talk about this very much (either here, on Reddit, or on Twitter) but I'm very confused about hrothgal height. Hrothgals cap out at 78.5 inches (199.39cm) while hrothguys reach a height of 83.8 inches (212.85cm) and I'm just overall extremely baffled by that decision. With how hrothgals are treated in the lore, much of the community naturally came to assume that they'd be taller than hrothguys, especially since they lack the same shrimp posture their male counterparts have. It's honestly a little disappointing. I don't think it'd be too much to ask for them to be at least as tall as femroes (87.7in / 222.76cm) or even slightly shorter (maybe around 85in / 215.9cm)?

And simply because it wasn't like so it's somehow wrong?

There are real life murals where people are depicted a lot taller than others.
Many believe it was a way to show that they are of greater status, not that they might actually be taller.

From what I read they are treated so well because females are very rare... nothing to do with their height. I'm not opposed to letting them be taller but I don't see how one leads to the other.

Male Hrothgar are already shorter than Roes, male Aura and female Viera, even with when standing straight. For a natural vanguard of the only real beastly race in the game they're barely big enough as is.

Probably just a stylistic/propaganda thing. Make the more powerful one loom over the weaker ones to show dominance and all that. It's kind of why I actually am on board with the males' posture being explained as an expression of submission? To like force themselves to look up to the smaller females? Sad that the females don't seem to have a (default) slouch as drastic as the males (though there is a bit of a tall person slouch), but it would also explain why the slouch on the males looks less bestial and more.. meek? I guess that's how you could describe it.

Like if you look at the slouching males next to the females, you can see their posture brings them in line with or even lower than the females.

We must live in different parts of the world; where I live there are certainly on average some physical differences between men and women, but on average men don't have chests that are twice the width of a woman's.
