No thanks, I don't want a menu to pop up everytime I go do an event.

Did you even read the thread? Ready check have nothing to do with "anytime you do an event". It is something that a raid leader (or assistant) trigger in order to make sure that all players are ready (typically before a boss encounter) but it could also be in a random party, after everyone took a 5 minutes break, to make sure that they're all back.
While it is a small inconvenience to players (forced to press "ready"), it is a useful tool for a raid leader. If you do not want your leader to use this feature you may as well leave the party, no one will miss you. If you are in a LS run, with everyone on teamspeak and focused, that's not really needed either with a party of 8. However when we will be having content for alliances, this will be another story.
Ready check have more than one use as well. It can also be used a quick voting system. "Press ready if you are willing to go for the next boss or don't if you want to call it".

Interesting thing you are talking about here. Why not implementing some vote feature eventually?

Welp I will never going to be using it. Boycotting everything I don't like.
Is that really a good way to go into 2.0 so are you not gonna jump ever too? And if you do are you gonna start a timer between everytime you do so you make sure you don't just "Hop" everywhere. Are you never going to do Instanced items as well cause you want it to be all Open World, You sir have very closed minded views things will always be added to a game that some won't like but that doesn't mean you should never use them just fret and eventually deal with it since you'll keep playing obviously.
OMG THE CUTENESS
I've never been against instanced things, I've said that idk how many times now?Is that really a good way to go into 2.0 so are you not gonna jump ever too? I will only jump if need be, other than that no I'm not going to use it. Just like how I'm not going to get the goobuu before 1.23/2.0
