    Ready Check~

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but is there going to be a "Ready Check" System implemented in 2.0? Its a really handy tool mainly for seeing if everyone in the party/alliance is ready for the fight/instance it would be alot more useful than the old ffxi and now ffxiv method

    /party Ready /
    /party /

I would really love it if it was as well as I bet others would as well.

Here's a example of someone using the old method..

Usually It would consist of a pop up prompt asking whether or not the party / alliance is ready usually only initiated by the Party Leader, Tanks or Alliance leader(s) once people start hitting yes you would see the mark appear next to their name and after everyone hit "Yes" a sound would go off announcing that everyone is ready along with text kind of like the /countdown emote or "Full Party" to aid visually its not really necessary but it could possibly help people who like to play with their sound off.

And if you were to hit no it would time out 30 seconds after the "Ready Check" was initiated as well as a report saying who was not ready or was afk that way you can ask if they are ready instead of starting the whole ready check again, it would also come with a sound meaning not everyone is ready, obviously not the same sound.

I also have a feeling that something like this would immensely help future PS3 raiders/players because I know that not all will have keyboards for their PS3's, I do but I'm not everyone lol I understand that most likely SE has some awesome UI in the works that could make it to were you don't really need a keyboard "Meaning having a PS3 On Screen T3 keyboard or something like that" but at this point we know nothing about the PS3 UI besides that it has a Cross Hot bar.

A option of having it be a emote that Denmo mentioned would be really nice as well as well a possibly mixed with a few already there ffxiv systems.

/ready would be a neat little new emote.

You could also make it so that a checkmark appears on the party list, and when all members check it, a "Ready!" sign appears, much like, "Full Party!" does.

Omg I would love if it were a emote and yea it could very easily have a added check mark next to everyones name on the party window. OMG /airquotes should be the Ready emote!

I like this idea a lot. Sometimes you get people chatting in their ls and they forget to mention they're ready, it's just an overall useful feature.

This would defiantly simplify things. Handy for faster organization, for sure with members in party outside of your familiar language. I like the idea--

Not overtly worried about it the current way with / seems to work perfectly fine.

Last thing we need is SE to decide to pop a box in our window we need to checkmark before we enter the dungeon...

I know it could get annoying but I bet in the long run it would do wonders especially in those moments where you just got in the game there is a new content you guys are trying to talk strat then after you go over the plan you just want ot make sure everyone is there and ready!

Also for the most part I came from FFXI so I understood what that meant but for new players coming in I bet they wouldn't really understand it completely.

Thats the last thing we need is it ?, I think you mean its the last thing you want.

Why because its in WoW and Diablo 3 ?

Yes to the OP I would love a ready check option a pop up box would be even better.

While it is a small inconvenience to players (forced to press "ready"), it is a useful tool for a raid leader.
Don't believe that, clicking a ready option in a pop up box is no more inconvenience than type /, some people will grasp at straws to argue a point.

Of course you could say that typing / is an inconvenience also but I guess those are the people who sit and don't reply when you ask if they are ready of not.

Thank you, and yes there are always those people who don't even want to type out the / then you have to ask whether or not they are ready.

Nobody explained it to me, it's pretty simple to understand that when someone said.

    Ready?

and everyone else started to go.

    what it meant.
