    Viper's Swords Connect Backwards

This doesn't make any difference with straight, double-edged swords. But it's a noticeable issue for curved, single-edged swords.

When combining the two swords to form the twinblade (thief sword, two-bladed sword, whatever), both edges are facing the same direction. This makes spinning attacks ineffective. It just looks weird.

The best example of this in the benchmark is the weapon you receive using the Tantalus set.

Compare this with similar weapons from the material that clearly inspires this weapon, like FF9's The Ogre or Masamune. Or any Swallow from Chrono Cross. It is clear to see that one of the blades needs to be turned around.

This likely won't catch as much attention as the glaring issues with lalafell smiles and similar in the benchmark graphics update. But it is important.

I don’t disagree at all but how ineffective 99% of RPR weapons would be outside of “stabbing or draw in weapons” (rather than actual slashing weapons) shows they really don’t seem to care if the weapons actually make physical sense

Yeah, It's kinds like when you think something makes sense, but then you realize that something is off in practice.

if it was like a long Greatsword that that two blades connected through its entire length on one side, it could make sense on a top down swing.

But these are not greatswords made into one long cutting edge.

    These split apart.

At best, it would be a small Slash on the lower end, leading into a heavy deep Slash on the top end of the second blade.

But in combat, that limits you so much, you are better off never combining at all.

I guess it's just Disbelief for fantasy sakes at this point.

Hopefully we get alot of Straight edged VIPer weapons.

But now I'm kinda afraid the Orthos weapon I think would be a great VIPer glam would end up curved in a bad, jarring way.

The orientation of the blades does not solve the problem, if you look at the animations.

If anything, it probably makes a bit more sense to face both blades outward for safety purposes. Otherwise your opponent could perform a simple beat to impale you on your own weapon.

Now let me tell you about Warrior's Mythril Tempest spin on single-blade axes going the way of the blunt side...

Using the Metian outfit for the Benchmark the added weapons have large handle guards and while combined they are not facing the same direction, meaning the swords do not face the same direction.
So that some blades do while others don't seems to be an intended decision.
