I think we probably need to hear from Yoshi-P, since it's clear a lot of the problems are definitely goof ups, so maybe most of the difference are. Like the moonkeeper fangs are probably a mistake and not on purpose, but if they can screw something like that up maybe they screwed up some other things like some lips.

It would be really bizarre if they said all that stuff about not wanting to ruin anyone's image of their character, only to then completely donk up like 1 in every 6 faces on purpose.

the thing with the moonkeeper fang probably comes from the wish i've seen several times over the years to remove that triangular bite they have. you can see it from below with an open mouth. but removing that also means to remove the reason its there to begin with. to be able to enhance the fsngd to be longer... now couldnt they achieve both nowadays with the money, experience and tech they have? probably and the game makes enough money... they absolutely should.

I haven't heard that before, but again I don't think they'd say they don't want to make any major changes and then secretly make a bunch of changes to surprise us with.
