This statement can be found on benchmark page under the update section "After the release of the benchmark, we will continue to make improvements to the game's visual fidelity in the lead up to the release of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail."
So they are continuing working on graphical improvements both with character models and the game at large. But like any dev team what gets fixed before launch will based on priority, So something like making fangs longer would be very low priority or putting the gleam back in character eyes.
