Dont over complicate a very simple matter. Give feed back and leave the mentally induced idea of promise out of it.I think your energy is better spend trying to get people to collate and consolidate the information so it doesn't overload/lag.
Which I assume is what you want, but always linking and posting to the same thing(which at this point everyone knows, cause you've said repeatedly.) doesn't help or stop, but make others perpetuate it even more.
we Know at the core what they want, their limits, their PR speak, and also that they do their utmost to met and achieve what they desire.
Which for the Devs, is to balance what their projections are, and feed the consumer enough to keep them happy.
Sadly, your method of going about it could only succeed in a complete freeze of feedback.
Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
All feedback is good feedback, even negative feedback.

While I was very excited about the graphics update, I can't help but feel very down about losing most of my characters, specially my main ones. I've tried to accept this to the best of my ability and design something new, but the thing is I'm not liking the way faces look right now in general, so anything I could make now will be worse than what I had before.
This whole matter has been so discouraging to me that I'm considering just quitting the game, as there's no point playing a character I don't like.

I think SE should only address obvious execution errors and leave all stylistic choices ie "my nose is different" the same, and see how many of you leave.
Heck, add it to the exit poll "I am unsubscribing bc none of the new options allow me to make a character I am happy with".
Unless something's obviously uncanny, outright missing from before and could easily be a toggle (glossy lips for example), disproportionate/low textured, etc it's just the new visuals and I suspect a loud, tiny minority are the ones who can't get over it. And I also think you would have hated anything regardless.
To be clear, I think criticism that is specific, supplied with non edited photos that are clear and undeniable, is fine. I think slamming the dev team off the bat, threatening to quit the game, is (as described in another post) makes you seem disingenuous, as though you wanted it to fail from the get go.

Considering I left two games that "updated" characters already, I have zero problem leaving a third (have never been on the sunk cost train). That said, given Japanese players are complaining about many of the same things, I will stick around long enough to see if they make changes.I think SE should only address obvious execution errors and leave all stylistic choices ie "my nose is different" the same, and see how many of you leave.

I am highly confident that issues that are obvious and reasonable will be addressed. People can certainly threaten to the leave the game in their posts or generally be over dramatic, I just don't think that's going to get more moderate players on board with your initiative. It comes across as fake.Considering I left two games that "updated" characters already, I have zero problem leaving a third (have never been on the sunk cost train). I'd also note as a general thought that these are potential mistakes or artistic decisions, they're not personal attacks, When people frame it as that, it just sounds strange. And that really goes for any topic-- the relic quests, job design, whatever. No one's "taking things away" from players. That's not the primary goal of changes to the game-- it implies some kind of parasocial malice where there is none.

OK, and where do the majority of people that expressed a promise not met are?
I know some are there, but when you read it, it gets boiled down to Mostly Reasonably accepted Objectives.
They understand that Subsurface, Textures, And the Rearranged polygons will change the character looks.
If they don't know that, they are subtly informed.
If the gamma becomes an issue, they are also informed.
So now, reading everything. As well as they praise, they know what is information, and isn't.
What it seems, is that you only are focusing on the Fake tree, and not collating the information that is eventually spread and shared.
I see about a majority like how the individual changes are great, but the small things throw them off.
Things that don't make sense and have spread out.
People actively know that, and the devs will see it as easily by just reading.
(You even hear that JP has it worse atm. So I wouldn't doubt there is someone over there saying the same thing)
The promise is the goal both the players, and devs want.
Its not Over Complicated, it's cut and dry, no matter how long it takes, changes will be applied by devs, and players will acclimate to the changes that are temporary, or not yet fine tuned.
The promise being an issue wasn't on all others.
And now that everyone is more informed, the issue isn't keeping people from a "Mentally Induced Idea of Promise", but leading them to where they can express their concerns.
Get informed, Collate, and Consolidate.
Just like the Fang thread, Individual Race Threads.
And all else.
The one thing that has become an issue, is what you believe the "promise" has become.
Which is just a couple of threads some users with feeling to feel have made.
The tldr: your energy unfortunately was being spend on someone else's viewpoint that the majority aren't really getting hung up on.
They are getting informed and slowly consolidating. But not as fast as it could of.
Regardless, At least you helped eliminate most of the idea that some had about feedback.
But you feel deep into the "Promise"

I’m not yet sure that I can joyfully go into the future with the version of my character that I saw in the benchmark.
I'm also not sure that I should invalidate my feelings about my character so that the developers don't lose morale.
And I'm absolutely not sure that I should feel grateful for the way my character looks in benchmark.
What I'm sure of is that the situation must be corrected. I continue to hope that this is not the final version (as the benchmark description says), I continue to hope that this will be fixed. My compromise is to wait patiently for fixes and describe those details that I see as incorrectly performed.
I love this game very much, it made me happy. I liked everything, I never expressed any complaints. I enjoyed my character and our journey together. I would like to be able to continue doing this. And it's because of this I'm writing here now, on this forum.
I don't want to suppress my current feelings for the sake of an ephemeral “bright future” and benefit. This is an unhealthy position.
