FFXI Dragoon No invites repeated

Remember that game, FFXI? You know, the one where dragoons never got invites to parties? I am very, very disappointed that the no dragoon culture persists in FFXIV.

I'm relatively new to the 50 game and DRG was my first 50. I've done Ifrit. I've done Moogle. Despite this, I still have trouble getting into pug groups for these fights. What is wrong with everyone!?! Dragoons are amazing! Stop hating and start inviting. /endrant /thankyou

People would rather have BLM over DRG for survivability but I agree DRG should see the light of day more during various Primals. Ended up leveling WHM to 50 after capping DRG just so I can have a better time finding Primal teams

I don't think it's that everyone's hating on DRG. It's just that, like Monk, DD melee's are the last thing to come to mind when forming a party.

Normally BLM, but a well geared DRG has the potential to out-DPS a BLM.

Denmo's point is correct though as you said. BLM comes to mind first. However a well geared DRG (as you mention), even MNK if done correctly can easily out DPS a BLM. Person's skill, gear, and team all come into play here. I believe people simply get lazy or too comfortable with what they are use to. Afraid to branch out or try new fighting styles/methods. So they stick with BLM.. sadly. So many fights that most the other classes shine out on rather than BLM.

Its not hard to out dmg blms on ifrit or moogle as drg anymore.

BLM is easy mode so the average player performs better as BLM. So people pick up BLM.

BLM is a safer option that DRG due to the ability to do damage from afar. That's not to say a DRG can't dodge plumes, but it's more of a gamble, specially in a PUG.
