Sujet : Fresh server for new PC players @ 2.0 launch?

Does anyone know if there are any fresh servers planned with 2.0 launch? The few people I've asked in-game have said there are PS3 servers planned for release, but haven't mentioned anything about a new PC server.

My friend and I decided to come back and play up to the 2.0 launch, but it's been a rather frustrating experience. We've not been able to find parties for any of the low-level content, and our crafted goods are not selling on the wards. Also, low-level gear is insanely overpriced on the wards, because the people crafting it seem to assume that everyone has hundreds of thousands of gil weighing down their pockets. We just hit 50 on our first battle classes a couple of days ago, but haven't had any luck finding parties or even linkshells who are interested in having us.

While I can appreciate that the server populations could possibly benefit from a bit of bulking up come 2.0 launch, I was curious to know if there would be any fresh server options for PC players such as my friend and I, where we could experience the content with more players in our level range.

I find it unlikely that there would not be fresh servers for the new players in v2.

New servers are confirmed for PS3 players. I wouldn't want them to join the over saturated current servers, they'd never enjoy the game.

wait so are the ps3 server's gonna be seprate from pc? that would suck i was planing on playing with some friend's who don't have pc's able to play this game.

No. PS3 and PC users will be able to be on the same server.

It would be a pretty bad idea to not instate new servers when you expect a large and sudden increase in players, such as when releasing it for a new platform. This is why it only makes sense to open servers along with the PS3 release. This does however not mean that they will be exclusive to certain platforms.

Just imagine how it would be if the player base more than tripled practically overnight, but the new players all had to come to the existing servers. You think uldah is packed now? Imagine how it would be with 3-4 times as many players per server. That's how it could turn out if they didn't open new servers along with version 2's PC and PS3 release.
