    Blah blah blah.
Don't want that, leave it in game.
This is what you are saying ^.

All the lore that goes in game fits and there is plenty of lore. There is hardly any lore that's left out except for the tid bits THAT THEY POST ON THE LODESTONE for the most part if you would take your time and not spam ENTER through the whole story line you would see that.

Most quests are already wall of text fests filled with more information than you can remember and they don't need to tack on anymore.

I don't know how much clearer I can make this.

    Also, this as well.

I want them to spend development time on a whole massive new area that serves no purpose that no one will go to ever for any reason except for a very very small number of people who just want to look at it. What? Don't want this in game? I can't believe I have to argue to have more stuff in the game.

LOL. I didn't mean it like that. I like story line related stuff, it's pretty good albeit very long.

I don't understand statements like this.

Firstly, nobody is hurt if you have the option to read it in-game.

Secondly, you are bound to read in an MMORPG anyway. And if you don't like it (though, it seems you do), don't use it (sounds familiar..).

Thirdly, the time you spend reading Lodestone posts you can also spend in-game to read them there.
What's the problem? You can read something while looking for a party, too.

And lastly, it would make the world feel more organic. Maybe have that little moogle from the screenshot deliver an "Eorzea Tribune" to your house once a month. Now that would be pretty awesome.

I'm not pro or cons, i just think the two things can coexist. AS bad it is, ps3 have a browser so users can just use it while playing, like pc users could be in 2.0 without crashing with alt+tab or using 3° party scripts.
I don't see why we could't have both at the same time actually

You do know ps3 can't run multiple programs right...

I shouldn't have to go to a stupid website to find something about the world. It should all be in game.

God I hate agreeing with Rokien but he is technically correct. I just tried this with a disc-based game. You can't run the browser while playing the game, it says you must quit the game to do so.

Lore on lodestone works fine, SE isn't the first nor only current developer of MMOs that utilize their website for lore related posting, some other MMOs don't even bother with lore, just stupid fetch quests that's "supposedly related to x lore". This was the purpose of the Playonline Viewer, a hub type program which ran on the consoles too. That way they can easily go to Vana'diel Tribune and boom..read the latest lore articles lol.

Maybe SE already has something in mind 2.0's launcher with the PS3 that could be similar to POL. Thing is though, if it's in-game you can expect it to be largely ignored by players, especially the players SE is trying to ensnare for 2.0, unless of course it gives you gil and exp for reading it, then people will care for it -.-
