    2.0 lore/story

So, when 2.0 comes around, can you guys please stop giving lore/story through the lodestone. It's really disheartening you can't just put it in the game some how. So, I was wondering if you are going to do that stuff, in game, in 2.0?

    Example:

    http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...any/index.html

Don't want that, leave it in game.

    please like my question! http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post820459

I may attract a fair deal of fire here, but I agree with you Rokien. The majority of the lore should be in-game, not just because I'm 'lazy' but there will be people playing on PS3 that won't want to have to come to the website to look up lore tidbits.

I don't think anyone would disagree really. For once Rokien hasn't suggested something stupid and unnecessary. Guess there's a first time for everything.

Honestly I'd like for them to incorporate almost all of the information on Lodestone into the game somewhere or in a variety of ways. Incapacitation info, crafting recipes, class stats info, basics on the game, etc... It would be a lot easier to access if they were somewhere in the game.

All of that being said, it's not the end of the world if they don't. It would simply be more convenient.

I can see your point, but shouldn't they try and make it 'convenient' for ps3 players? They are hoping the influx of them come 2.0 release will revive the game's standing compared to other MMOs?

Ahh, I don't know. They'll figure it out.

I like lore like that being on the lodestone. I don't go in game to read I go in game to play.
Also, when I come to the lodestone, I love to see lore posts. I enjoy them. They should keep that how it is.
The reason they put that stuff on the official lodestone site is because there is no place for it in game and if they didn't put it here it wouldn't exist and that doesn't really bother a vast majority of people.

What they should to is make the lodestone available in game.

I'm not pro or cons, i just think the two things can coexist. AS bad it is, ps3 have a browser so users can just use it while playing, like pc users could be in 2.0 without crashing with alt+tab or using 3° party scripts.
I don't see why we could't have both at the same time actually

Well yeah, I mean that's why I'm all for them putting pretty much everything on Lodestone in-game. Everything on there could easily be in the game in some form. A reference section for basic info, we know we're getting a recipe list, some kind of a news board for updates and whatnot, things like that.

Ya but wouldn't you enjoy it more if you could buy a weekly/monthly news paper in game?

Updating news boards in the Adventurer's Guild would be a cool touch, nice idea.

You do know ps3 can't run multiple programs right...

I shouldn't have to go to a stupid website to find something about the world. It should all be in game.
