The problem is also that on face 3, which you and I use, there is no mouth at all that would retain its previous shape. They are all broken, as well as the lower part of the face itself.
By the way, my post in the bugs section was moved to "accepted bugs". Let's hope for the best

I dislike that people are posting about single pixel differences and muddying the water with nebulous feedback words like "vibe" and "cute". It's drowning out posts with ACTUAL problems people have been posting like neck seams, Roe noses, and weird lip textures.

People are getting so pedantic and hysterical that it's already making people disregard all feed back regardless of its veracity.

Nah, people started on shitting on feedback way long before this, ignoring very obvious differences and trying to downplay them, because it's "barely different" or "I like it better" when they aren't even playing that race. Now there is a point that some people may not make the best comparisons or the best feedback, but let's be real for a second here. Nobody reads the EN forums, and the JP forums give high quality feedback with traced lines and such for the eyebrows/mouths/noses etc, I think they also cover other grievances like eye textures/roe nose/viera nose/etc. So at the end of the day it will probably not matter too much when people post their about their grievances regarding their characters neither does the influx of dud accounts whining about the former, and it's quite puzzling what some of you all get out of it.

Some people are overreacting. There is little changes between some of the pictures. Most of the changes are not that different which was stated would be the case so they offered a free fantasia to fix it. If they want part of the face to have a different shape now its how they want it so working as intended. The actual issues should see a fix though I agree.

Literally sit down and start drawing * but I'm sorry, I don't have the talent to do this, and why should I do the work for the developers * Yes, I'm one of those who see that my character has become someone who was bitten by wasps and he is completely different FOR ME. I can take screenshots and say this is not my character, especially in motion, how do I describe this feeling? My character is literally smiling with a stretch, as if her skin is stretched, how do you propose to describe it?
These are the developers, they have all the tools to compare before and after and they have to do it when they make certain promises!

I'm like years late on this discussion apparently, seeing as it's page 69. But, for the most part, i don't think anyone's characters look DRASTICALLY different. Like- if you hyper analyze every aspect you will find faults in anything.

I think some people work backwards from their reaction to their character to how much they've changed. Like if they really don't like how they look, they assume the change must be correspondingly large.

When I was a young kid (like 5 or 6 years old) my mum changed her hair for the first time since I was born, from an 80s perm to a 90s Diana bob cut. I hated it. I literally didn't recognise my own mum. Objectively speaking, getting a haircut is not a huge change, but its effect on me was.

Perhaps it is difficult to articulate what is different because the thing that is different is so insignificant. I still recommend pulling out the MSPaint if you wish to give feedback.

I get that you're upset and I'm not here to say you can't be upset, but in my humble opinion as a fellow Face 1 Middie user - your character is close to identical before and after and really cute in both. She's not ugly. She looks the same. It's a cute face. No, she doesn't look like she was stung by wasps.

I dont have the new mspaint so I don't know how well they improved things with their new features, but might I recommend Krita instead! ^^;
Free painting tool with layers and tools meant for more control in image editing. It's what i've been using for my edits and breakdowns. Trying to do this in mspaint is a nightmare @@
