The light male Au Ra Raen scales are too dark with the details sharpened making it all look cluttered and busy! It also doesn't match the much lighter horns.

I also miss the slight contour that helped to frame the face and scale shapes even more, though this detail I can understand not everyone will miss.

Outside of some changes with the lips/jaw for female au ra face 1, I don't hate it. My biggest complaint about the raen women seems to have been fixed; they no longer have that awful skin color/scale bleed that made darker colored skin bleed into the edges of the scales, and the result made it overall look like rot. The scales pick up a slight tint from the skin and my silver girl has, at last, slightly silvered scales due to it. I didn't notice any artifacting, but I've seem male xaela mentioning it and I wonder if it's for all. Time to science!

Not really happy with the female miqo'te face 4 changes - the slight lip part and soot nose were key features and why I picked that face for that character, and I'm more than a little sad to see them gone/adjusted. I only played with face 2 keeper female's scars, but the scarring looks weird in a way I can't quite explain, probably that it feels weird for my dark-skinned keeper to have that light/bright of scarring.

I overall don't hate what I'm seeing, but I agree that there are a /lot/ of little things that need to be looked at and adjusted to salvage the individual personalities/identities of the individual faces. I'm also witholding a lot of more severe judgement in favor of seeing the models out and about in the world; my main looked better in the benchmark than in the cc for the benchmark. Lighting makes a difference.

Realistically, I don't spend a lot of time staring at my character's face. My keepers losing their fangs doesn't bug me, their mouths are rarely open that much for me to see it and I can imagine just fine. That doesn't discount that there are things that need to be reviewed, because there are. I hope they are, too. A couple of my characters aren't going to look right, not even with a fantasia. A couple look the same, but better.

I'm also a miqo face 4 haver and I'm pretty crushed by what they did. I picked that face because of it's unique charm. The lip part, the creases under the eyes, the more natural brows and lashes. The chubbier face. I loved how sassy and spunky I looked. They removed that individuality and now I just look like a pretty doll like all the rest of the catgirls. Except with a overall matte finish for some reason.

I'm really not a fan. Too many little changes add up and her face just feels so different.

I don't visit the forums much, but wanted to post some feedback.

Midlander Females: I am very happy with the way Midlander females look, specifically face 5 (the one that was added in ARR). I was planning on fantasia'ing back to Midlander for Dawntrail, and having looked at her in the benchmark I am very excited! I really like her skin texture and the brightness of her eyes. The eyes on this face have a tendency to look like dark soulless pits or deer-in-the-headlights, and IMHO they look more alive now. I did notice that the eye colors seem lighter in general, but since a good chunk of the eye colors available range from "dark" to "staring into the void", this should be an easy fix for anyone that prefers their darker eyes.

Female Miqo'te: IMHO their normally full, rounded cheeks are especially emphasized with this update. I'm glad I'm not going to be a Miqo'te when this update hits, though objectively they are still cute and in general they got a nice glowup.

Lip feedback (general): they do seem a bit less plump (boo!) and paler in general, and I feel like the lip colors are a little more matte and opaque which I am not a fan of. When I choose the "light" option I prefer the look of a tinted lip balm or a light gloss, not a pale lipstick.

Au Ra female eyes: the pupils look larger which I feel gives a more vacant look. They are already cute and have options for larger eyes, they don't need a more "doe eyed" effect from larger pupils. Combined with the less vivid limbal rings (which I personally like), I can see why people are complaining about their eyes looking dull and dead.

I hope SE makes some minor tweaks, but overall I am happy with the changes and think they are generally positive (with many being good, and some less so). I do feel for those that were unlucky and got changes they don't like for their characters. I may have gotten lucky this time, but when we went from 1.0 --> 2.0 my character's face changed just enough that I didn't like it anymore, and I wound up remaking her completely.

A lot of what you have stated is how I also feel about the new update. I really like the look of most of the things they have changed. Like yourself I enjoy a pale gloss and I am not a fan of the matte effect on the lips. I also know how you feel when I logged my first ever character who I loved so much into ARR my heart sank as she ported badly and I never played that face again and I used the fantasia...since then I tend to change here and there as I really did miss my Cat from 1.0 and nothing ever clicked since. I can understand player's feeling how they do over it but it was the same for us my Husband changed race also and a few others who I know from 1.0 because of it.

But I do love how my Hyur looks her eyes are a little paler but I will have to get in the game and have a play around.

Yeah so, the Characters got 56 new Face Bones, so of course they "changed" some bit.
Square needs to work on some races, i cant complain about my Lalafell, i think its looks good. But Feedback is important and i hope they will work on some big problems.

Characters do seem to have baggy tired eyes in some lighting conditions compared to the old (bigger shadows below eyes i think contribute to this)

Overall I like a lot of the updates but there's some races that really need some tweaks here and there.

Do y'all think the dev team will respond to any of criticisms before DT releases? I wasn't current during Shadowbringers, I don't know if they showed the fixed male Viera posture before it released or if everyone found out when it went live.
