Viera Changes

I don't like my Veena's new, smaller pupils. His knobbly new chin and rounded jaw are not what I wanted when I chose his face. I miss the fuller lashes that used to frame his eyes and their corners being lowered looks strange to me. I liked his lighter 'bunny' nose, but it's a different shape now, and darker too. And his mouth… That's easily my least favorite part of the new look. It's too dark, the wrong shape, and looks like he has (matte) lipstick on even though lip color is turned off.

These things aren't a matter of 'getting used to it.' I probably would not have chosen this race if my character had looked like the benchmark when I fantasia'd, and I know I'm not the only one. Sure, we're a minority, and maybe we're pessimistic, but I think it's fair to feel dissatisfied with the changes after being told (more than once!) SE would strive to keep characters looking like themselves. And sure, many things look much better, including many characters. But I can't help hoping we'll see some kind of update.

It's honestly really frustrating to see people responding to detailed reports of differences with "it's in your head" or "you'll get used to it"; we shouldn't have to get used to it! Male Viera are the newest race added, they shouldn't have needed these kinds of drastic changes (neither should female Viera, either, but when making the guys they at least should have known they were planning the update...)! I have three Viera characters and I'm going to be heartbroken if I can no longer stand to look at them because two years ago I happened to pick the face that would get the worst treatment for them.

The worst is when people say "it's just the lighting" when lighting can't explain things like pupil size or face shape. I just take it as them putting their fingers in their ears to avoid hearing anything bad about this game.
