DT Benchmark not launching

Hello.

I tried using the benchmark, but it won't launch :
-The DT splashscreen appear
-A cmd for GraphAdapterDesc.exe appear (empty) and stay for a few seconds
-Nothing
-the GraphAdapterDesc process stay suspended and can't be killed

did reboot/launch as admin ; nothing

My config is probably low for DT, but it still run XIV without issue.
-Windows 10
-ssd
-16Go ram
-Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300HQ CPU @ 2.30GHz
-Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M

I know cpu/gpu are low, but at least start the thing or show an error message

It happens the same for me, but my specs are:

- Windows 11 with directx12
- ssd
- 32Gb ram
- 11th gen Intel core i7-11800H @ 2.30Ghz
- Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU (VRAM 8018)

With this I can play quite well Endwalker and goes well into the recommended for Dawntrail but no dice.

I've tried to lower the benchmark settings to the minimum too, redownload the benchmark and reinstall it again, reboot my system... it does the same

edit: I've updated my graphic drivers, made sure to have all my system updates to date and quite frankly I don't know what to do because nothing works

I guess, your CPU is the problem. The CPU must be a Intel® Core i7-7700 or above, sorry.

I definitely don't think it's a problem with the CPU

I'm having the same issue with my gaming PC, had tried opening the Benchmark on another PC with a much weaker CPU below the minimum requirements, and while the framerate was at single digits it at least launched and let me make a character, unlike with my gaming PC

I'm having the exact same problem. My PC is a potato, but it runs the current version of the game in high specs, but the benchmark is not loading at all. And it's weird, cuz I remembered that I downloaded the FFXV benchmark once, and it ran. Sure, it didn't had the best results, but at least the benchmark worked.

I really wanted to try the benchmark in my current PC before rushing out to buy a new one, but it's showing to be quite the endeavor

I'm having trouble running it too. Though mine seems to be a directx error? "Fatal Directx Error (30000000) for which I've found no solutions. Graphics card is up to date and the system meets the minimum specs.

Same issue.
Laptop with Wins11 DirectX 12, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz, RAM 12.0 GB, GeForce GTX1050
It's quite potato I think... but at least it still met the minimum requirements for Dawntrail?
A cmd for GraphAdapterDesc.exe will appear and stay for a few seconds with every trying. Trying any ways to launch and still appear the same.
No problem in Endwalker and even playing with highest resolution UI LOL

Edit: Launching as admin did not work on mine. Same as redownload & changing download/extract location & run in Wins7/8 compatibility mode & unset reading mode of every files.

Edit again: RESOLVED
Caused by the outdated graphic drivers.
Download the NVIDIA experience from the NVIDIA official website, use it to check on your graphic driver's version and update it if it's outdated.
Mine potato laptop was able to run the Dawntrail benchmark right after the update. Hope it helps!

Silly as it is, launching as an admin fixed this issue for me. I'd try to launch and it would flash a cmd prompt and the dawntrail logo for a fraction of second, then crash. Launching as Admin made it work for me.

Just wanted to add to the thread as I too am having the same issue. In fact, the benchmark doesn't even launch or give any error message. I double click it and nothing happens.

Already tried downloading it again, runing as admin, updating drivers. Still nothing. Even tried runing the Endwalker benchmark and it also does not execute. Nothing.

The weird thing is that I tried runing it on a notebook with much lower specs and it ran, no issues (of course the results were extremely poor, but at least it ran).

No idea what is going on or how to solve it.

My specs are as follows:

Win 10 64-bit
AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
32,0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1199MHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060

Bingo, that got me to having it work... changed properties and I'm good to go.
