It is valid, cept it can wait tho til more important changes are made. tho it probably wouldn't be that hard to implement. Then again..... who knows the way things are coded.

I remember being so psyched when they first implemented the '/shutdown' button and command in FFXI.
What a time-save that feature is! FFXIV isn't quite so bad as you don't have to back all the way out through PlayOnline but still... it would be nice.

I would like one as well, not for me but for everyone on my server. I don't know how many times I wrote /shutdown to the whole world

But any improper / command returns an error, it doesn't emit to your surroundings...

Still I couldn't see this suggestion hurting. And to add to the above, as well as using UI changes, it also aborts the most recent set of logfiles being created.
