Benchmark/Graphics Update - Show your WoL's before and after

Overall I like the updated graphics on my character. I've done a lot of Gposing and seen my character in many different lighting conditions, and it does still look like the same character to me, even with some differences from the current character creator look.
-The tail of the eyebrow is a little different in shape. Personally I like it, but I can understand a change like that being jarring to other people when there's no option more similar to the old.
-In the current game, strong overhead lighting is especially my bane, and looks weird on my character's eyelids. That seems a lot improved in the benchmark (picture 2).
-However, the lips seem less glossy to me in the benchmark, and I would've liked to see them a little less matte. But my biggest criticism which I can find no strong enough reason to change, is the fangs of Moon Keeper Miqo'te being shortened and widened (As you can see, they aren't even showing past the lips in picture 3). I really like that bottom-right picture! I think it's the hair, freckles and eyes for me...they all seem a bit more vibrant (especially the hair as you mentioned).

Yeah the bottom right one I also like. From what I can tell with the cutscenes they are not nearly as bad when demonstrating that for your character and that its apparently a character lighting setting by default that is causing the hair to be like.

Gotta say, as the days go by, I am getting more excited to see how things are gonna be in-game. Ever so slightly amused as the thought of my characters becoming all wonky looking. Or maybe they'll all have massive glow-ups and we can crown the benchmark/creator the troll of the year. Either way, exciting times ahead!

I am also really curious if there is any truth to the theory that SE has tweaked the mouth rigs in order to allow for more unique facial expressions down the road. I've been testing out more characters again, and the miqo'te mouth at this scene always looks sliiightly weird to me. I don't hate it, but it does seem to form a new shape? Stretched wider perhaps? She looks cute IMO though. :X

Well based on the elezen feedback thread, its definitely evident they reworked the mouth rigs to try and get some more emoting out of the character model.

I would say she does look cute still.

Male Elezen are such a W with this update. I thought they were very handsome before, but after they became just dreamy! Yours is amazing looking!

Looks cleaner on new one, but change in lips seems like downgrade. Hair also doesn't look as blue anymore, has more of green tint in it vs old being blue with green highlights.
Also seems like the feet were fixed in dawntrail. Hopefully that applies to all feet so your feet don't look like blobs anymore.

Ah you would have to copy the image address to show it so it would be this and it would show up. It took me a couple tries before also there is also a picture box you click on to paste said link giving it the [IMG] on both sides.

I wanted to share my before and after pictures, but I have no clue how to upload an image, LMAO! I tried twice using the "Insert Image" button and then inputting the URL, but it didn't work. haha...can you tell I don't use the lodestone?



EDIT: Holy cow I finally figured it out, jeeeeeeeeeez. lmao. I tried so many links that didn't work.

ANYWAY! I just wanted to say that I think my lady turned out really pretty, I can't say I have any complaints. I personally really feel like darker skin tones and Elezens in general really look great in the update.
