Yes, they are even a little bit similar here, but we see what happens in the cutscenes. My character just looks angry and she is no longer a cutie.

Seriously, what is it with this one shot from the benchmark and face 1 hyurs? Not to say the rest isn't bad (it is), but in this specific shot we look utterly inhuman.

Apologies for the low quality but this really just doesn't feel like the same character to me, she completely lost her softer? younger? appearance not sure exactly what it is

i do not know but i do not like it so much! really the ugliest changes midlander 1 got, i hope they will be fixed that!

Made sure to make the comparison facing the sun as not to cherry pick, but i can say i'm not too happy with the change, didn't get hit as hard as Vieras but still
I can appreciate the raw changes like the better hair textures, but i'm having a hard time getting over the eyes and lips, the lack of the more pronounced lip gloss loses a lot of what i was going for with this character (and again that's facing the sun, with the slightest hint of shadows the lips becomes completely flat, the same goes for the scales which lost a lot of its specular surface) and the thousand yard stare looks completely souless, doesn't help that the reddish sclera makes her look stoned
A few changes in the lightning would go a long way to make it look much better, even if just a little baked lightning on the eyes and lips

even here with the neutral emote she still looks cute, but in benchmark scenes she is always angry.

I really like more friendly male roegadyn look. The normal shading and shadows used to do them sooooo dirty.

I am quite disappointed.My characters' face lost their softness and don't look the same: the eyes, the mouth, the hair and the shadow/light are bad. I can barely distinguish the chin from the neck. The only thing I like is the nose for my Hyur.
I won't get into details, I think the pictures speak for themselves and are enough to show how the benchmark looks worse than the current game.
Please Square Enix, listen to us and make the graphic update an option or just fix it.
