Can you not just upload photos on this forum? Or am I just missing something obvious?

You can't, unfortunately. However, you can upload an image to an image hosting web site like Imgur and click on the "Insert Image" button above your post to copy and paste the url for the image that you'd like to share.

Note: If the image host that you use doesn't add .jpg/.png/.gif to the ends of their filenames, you may have to add this information, yourself, in order to make your picture appear on the forum (on Imgur, specifically, you can also just click on the "..." in the upper-right corner of your picture, select "Get Share Links", copy the BBCode link and paste it directly into your post).

If you preview your image on the forums and it appears to be too big, you should be able to shrink it down into a thumbnail by adding a certain letter just before the file type (t=tiny/m=medium/l=large/h=huge). So if your filename is https://imgur.com/Mb2AAAV.jpg, you can add a letter between the "V" and "." to shrink your image down to whichever size you'd like (so you'd use https://imgur.com/Mb2AAAVm.jpg to display a medium-sized thumbnail of your image).

This is probably more info than you needed, but I included some detail for others just in case. Hope this helps.

Eye and hair colors feel a little washed out in the new graphical update

I am extremely happy with the changes, my fem aura looks way cuter and more doll-ish like how i always envisioned in my head. I really enjoy the new eye and limbal textures they look much more realistic and i dont feel like my character looks "scary" and low poly ish anymore.

I've also seen alot of people complain about the lack of gloss in lip color but i am in love with it, i've always hated how shiny and weird the color would show up on lips so if i wanted a little pink or red i was forced to have gloss and it would look bad in some lighting. I do hope they add at least a toggle for it if they end up changing it back to glossy

In the CC they look washed out, but now I can see the hair highlights better. Also the mouth looks like it’s a little smaller.

But for the most part she came out unscathed and in both CC and benchmark trailer she looks like her usual self.

Also mostly unscathed. I feel like the lighting makes them look better overall. The limbal ring is not as bright as it was before, but since it’s already on the second to lightest colour, pushing up to the lightest will push it closer to the original.

Also the lips look a little fuller? I like that they looked a little bit more angular before, but it’s not too bad. I tried the other lips and they just don’t look right so no changes I guess.

And I wish the lip shine and some detailing on the face scales were added back in. Both look so flat without it.

In CC he looks like a totally different dude. Like way more angular and not as soft as before. In the trailer though he looks fine but the CC is so off it’s a bit jarring. But at least I can see him better since he’s a black rabbit.

And something about the lip colour has changed. It looks redder/darker when it’s supposed to look closer to his skin tone. So now it looks more like he’s wearing like lipstick instead of like chapstick.

Generally I like the change a lot (Especially scales) and the more muted limbal rings actually are more distinctive than the previews had made me think.

The lip shape changed or feels like it did slightly in the lighting, but doesn't seem major.

The thing that seems different but I can't put my finger on what exactly is something with the eye shape feels like the expression is changed. Possibly it isn't as curved upward somehow?

It's not ugly at all, I think the update did great on textures and such but.. It doesn't look anything like her now

I know lighting isn't the same and all, but even in the actual benchmark she looks possessed and didn't have the same face at all.. Any Face 2 highlander have the same problem?

You can have your current hairstyle in the Benchmark if you copy the file, put it into the benchmark and rename it.
There was a post here on General that went through how to do it.
Probably a couple pages back now due to all the feedback posts.



Just a quick example. This hairstyle is from the Mogstation, can't remember the name ontop of my head. But it's not part of the basic selection that's for sure.

Personally I couldn't note any huge differences in the character that would made me say "this is not my character anymore". Skin colour has to be adjusted a bit, and because of how much flatter the lips look and a general glossiness, she has a bit of a porcellaine doll look. However, when I turned down the gamma correction in the bench mark to 0, it got a little bit better. (Screenshots were made after the adjustment.)



I also don't mind the eyes' highlights being changed to actually reflect the light in the scene in general. However, the way this is apparently mainly affected by the main light source, you just have no lights in the eyes very quickly. It needs to address indirect light sources as well or have some other way to shine.

She looks great in this screenshot from the Benchmark:


But just a few seconds earlier her eyes are entirely dark, even in a scene in broad daylight, just because the sun is shining on her back, not the front or side. I dread to think about highly emotional touching cutscenes in dark dungeons, at night or with the light coming from the "wrong" angle....

While i think they did such a huge and incredible work for 7.0 and i want to play it rn i have a small issue with my WoL, i don't lost the graphical update lottery but i don't think i won it either.

When you play a character straight up for days, month and years you notice every single changes and tbh i'm not really a big fan of them :

Dawntrail Benchmark :



I have several issues with the Dawntrail, it may seems like nothing but i want my voice to be heard.

- While the mouth and chin are ok the face overall is round and lost that sharp shape
- Nose less defined make it look smaller
- Eyes are bigger (chose small eyes for a reason) and lost again that sharp shape of the eyelid
- Bigger thing is the eyebrows they seems so thin and the shape changed for no reasons

I hope they can adress things like theses.
