Benchmark/Graphics Update - Show your WoL's before and after

As many others, I also feel disappointed with the lip changes. They look more puckered and I'm not sure why they changed the shape in the first place. I also prefer the glossy look of the current lipstick instead of the more matte look we got in the benchmark.
I do really like the limbal rings though, they look much more similar to what I was aiming for when I made my character!

When I first loaded the preset for my current character I was a little bit shocked and I kind of disliked it, looking at it longer it did start to grow on me though, and in the benchmark itself vs. the character creation screen she especially looks great and I'm very happy with it!



I do have a small nitpick though, they seem have added freckles to every female Midlander face (these are NOT pores or texture, I can see the texture in the skin in other shots quite well and it looks great, these are painted on blemishes.) It's quite obvious on my monitor, but to better illustrate what I'm talking about I upped the contrast so that hopefully everyone can see what I mean. Graphic design is clearly not my passion so bear with me.





I don't mind freckles/blemishes or whatever it is, but it wasn't there before (or at least not this noticeable) and ideally it should be optional, the marks on the chin bother me especially because it looks like blackheads or stubble.

I don't hate it.

The shadows around the eyes don't bother me, since I've played around with ReShade and some of the options actually do give it in varying degrees.

I do think they should adjust the shine on the eyes though.

Also for the love of the Twelve, its 2024. If we bought/grinded for the other hairs (or even if we didn't) in game let us use them in the Benchmark FFS

Took a set of screenshots from the Aether, as someone said that images taken in there might look a little nicer:










Her original face (Female Highlander Hyur Face 1) and features still look much better to me. I'm happy that some people enjoy this new look, but it really isn't my cup of tea. ������

The scleras definitely need to be toned down a bit, as they're too bright white and contribute to that "painted vinyl figure" feel. I've also noticed that her eyebrows have been either lightened or thinned out for some reason. Still a big fan of bringing back the persistent eye sparkle and lip gloss, if only to add interest to the face in scenes where a bright light source might not be available.

I appreciate the effort that SE put into updating the characters, regardless, and am still looking forward to playing Dawntrail.

There's a button where you can input an image address that I've been using.

You can't, unfortunately. However, you can upload an image to an image hosting web site like Imgur and click on the "Insert Image" button above your post to copy and paste the url for the image that you'd like to share.

Note: If the image host that you use doesn't add .jpg/.png/.gif to the ends of their filenames, you may have to add this information, yourself, in order to make your picture appear on the forum (on Imgur, specifically, you can also just click on the "..." in the upper-right corner of your picture, select "Get Share Links", copy the BBCode link and paste it directly into your post).

If you preview your image on the forums and it appears to be too big, you should be able to shrink it down into a thumbnail by adding a certain letter just before the file type (t=tiny/m=medium/l=large/h=huge). So if your filename is https://imgur.com/Mb2AAAV.jpg, you can add a letter between the "V" and "." to shrink your image down to whichever size you'd like (so you'd use https://imgur.com/Mb2AAAVm.jpg to display a medium-sized thumbnail of your image).

This is probably more info than you needed, but I included some detail for others just in case. Hope this helps.

Thanks for explaining! Was wondering how I could make my images show up properly for a while now. ^^
