Of course I ran a benchmark. No, this did not solve the problems I am talking about here. There was no way this could solve them.I gotcha. It’s just been surprising to me how few people actually bother to run their characters in the creator. I was initially very upset with me highlander but the benchmark itself put my fears to rest.
When I pointed this out to other people a lot of them were like “I didn’t even bother but I’ll give it a shot.”
There ARE some glaring issues with some of the faces, like lips and brows being totally changed, but the weird skin plastic look goes away for the most part in the actual game itself.

Some characters were also changed more than others. For one, I have yet to see a single Viera M3 face user that wasn't very unhappy with the changes. There’s a lot of people I’ve told the run the benchmark who were like “oh wow that changed everything I was worried about.”
I am not trying to say that people who are upset just didn’t run the benchmark. My comment is only to try and help people who were in my position. It’s surprising how many people just didn’t bother running it because of the initial disappointment.

Left is before, right is after. Not really a fan of how much narrower her mouth became, as well as how the corners are perpetually upturned.

It's a massive problem with au ra face 2. I don't see why it was changed at all. It doesn't seem like a matter of lighting. The mouth itself got narrower, and there's zero way to change it in the CC. All you can change is how full the lips are, not the width.

Hopefully that gets tweaked at some point in the future.
