Benchmark/Graphics Update - Show your WoL's before and after

Personally, I am blown away. I'm beyond happy, and very excited for the update. If anything, I wish that the hair texture resolution had been bumped up even further, but I understand we have limitations.

I think the main thing people don't really understand is how much the lighting in the game has completely changed. Your eye glints and glossy lips are still there (you can see them in my photo!) they're just more realistic looking, and will look different than before, depending on the lighting situation.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I said before that racial traits have to be kept.

The more I look at it, the more I dislike it. While personally my character doesn't look that different, the lighting, shading and (lack of) shadows are horrendous. And just like many others, where did my upper lip go?
Many other characters however look completely different, some of my friends are quite upset. I wish we could toggle between old and new models if this does not get fixed in the next 2 months.

I’m writing on the forum for the first time because I couldn’t ignore this topic. I'm definitely disappointed with the character's graphical update. The character in the update looks like a faded copy of the original.
I feel upset about pretty much everything:
- Skin and hair color changes;
- No shine\gloss on lips and hair;
- Nose form change (previously, the character had a small crease on her nose);
- No proper shadows (might be benchmark issue? idk) so character look kinda "flat";

So I feel my character like it's 2D, kinda "flat". I wish they would keep everything like it was before just with new textures.

99% of before/afters of Keeper girls make me more upset than I could have expected.

the light in her eyes, gone. the vibrant blue of her hair, also gone. a weird greenish tint to her skin, there now for some reason

turning down the gamma and looking at the actual benchmark lighting does her a LOT of favors. this doesn't look too bad

I play an Ardbert NPC clone as my main!



I acknowledge being overly picky, but I really, really dislike the changes. His jaw changed a fair bit due to the shading but the worst of it is his eyes, which are distinctly differently shaped- he looks like a completely different person now. I'm really surprised, considering he's got the most base face! I checked in the benchmark as well as CC and his eyes and facial structure look even more jarringly different in the benchmark.
