Outside a couple of tweaks, I'm probably going to keep my character as is.
The biggest thing that seems to cause the biggest upset (outside the skin being too wax-like) is the unflattering lighting which you can see in the middle comparison. The skin in the shade looks worse in comparison to the current game I feel. The lack of the static highlight on eyes is also throwing some off, and it threw me off as well in certain lights.
She still looks fine in the benchmark proper though, so I can't complain too much, it's just a few angles and lights that throw me off.

The eyelash shadow or whatever needs to go or be optional, the old face 2 sculpt needs to be reverted. It literally took the life outta my highlander. Going to need a tremendous amount of cope to get through Dawnwalker looking like this.
Oh!! I have almost this same combo and HARD agree. I so rarely see this general look in game. Of my alts this is the only one that didn't work out at all thanks to the actually-super different eyes. For me its an RP character so yeah, one whose face I'd like to keep. Goes from looking like a sweet Aeris-type to an Influencer. Lip color change also pretty sad, it was the only highlander with pink-pink lips.
Some of the eye models for this face are completely different, you can see it if you put on face paint. This isn't the case on other hyur as far as I tested, huge disappointment.

I think my viera came out more intact than my miqo'te tbh.
~sigh~

Some things that need simple fixes to make characters look less soulless...
1. Restore the catch lights!! This photo does not show it well because its a darker location, but the catchlights are not very visible in day light areas.
2. Lip shine (and in many cases hair shine) are very matte. Restore gloss/shine!
3. Skin tone or brightness felt overblown somehow (again in daytime areas).
Honestly that's about it. I think the rest works well!

Overall I like the change for my female midlander. The skin does look waxy in the character creator, but much better during the benchmark.
