Meanwhile, I'm just wondering what they're gonna call that monster that's very obviously inspired by the FF7 Midgarsormr seeing as we already have the dragon of the same name present in XIV.

"DNC: Ranged AOE with particle effects reminiscent of the slashes from LB3. Not sure if it's an upgrade of Saber Dance or something new"
Personally, rather hoping this ends up being 'Foxshot' (one of Ranaa Mihgo's DNC AOE attacks).
based on the animation it could also just be fester 2 tbhThe benchmark has always teased a new animation on each job. Those animations are at this point locked into the game, but what they do or how they work is something we have little information about. What I described are inferences based on context clues. For example, Summoner having a lightning aspected attack is very indicative of Ramuh now being a part of the rotation in some way. And I could be very wrong on some of them. Other people might notice things I didn't and may have much more accurate ideas of what those actions will do. Which is, I think, a fun discussion to have, hence the thread.
The purple VFX reminded me of the debuff from PVP WAR's limit break.
I have the feeling that this new chainsaw can be two things:
- A bland finisher for chainsaw ala Endwalker finishers. Enjoy your basic combo fillers I guess.
- An analysis type modification of MCH tools, like the pvp ability, turning chainsaw into something else. I doubt it though since chainsaw was used just before, unfortunately.
Also that new SAM animation looks like a bloodspiller hah
I think you're right. I see now there are three hex shields, which would match Vengeance's three circular shields.

Error 3102 Club, Order of the 52nd Hour
Think the sam skill is just a tenka goken upgrade, it still has the cone aoe spell effect at the end. Although maybe not, rewatching in slow motion, it's hard to say. They do sheathe their katana before doing it but if there was a cast time, I didn't see it. Nor did I see the glow you see when doing Iaijutsu so maybe not!I have the feeling that this new chainsaw can be two things:

I could see it as a upgrade that allows u to target vengeance on allies, maybe with upgraded stats or defensive capabilities.
My guess is that other tanks will get something similar to whatever warrior got here, similar to every tanks 82 skills.
The ability looks like an updated A. Benefic.
Its likely a new A. Helios since it has the same animation and the delay that some times come with the abilities.
If it is a buff, there's no indication that it is one (cards). Divination looks completely different, doesn't exactly have the delay the heal does, nor does it have visual clarity of being applied on the party in such a way.
To give SE the benefic of the doubt that I don't want to give them, it could be the new buffing system as the class is getting a rework.
You can see how hopeful I am with my post's tone.
I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.
