    Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.

    Low quality joke aside.

    There really is a struggle of identity.
    While it may not be everyone, if they don't solve it. it will snuff out a good chunk of SMN players enthusiasm.
    (As much as I'll always prefer SCH over them. It'd be a pain if they kept losing identity. More so after they got a segment of their interested players amputated with the new playstyle.)

    The same was true for Alphinaud and Sage, and none of the actions he performed were just for the trailer (Although the use of Toxikon I over Toxikon II was misleading, but if you're a conspiracy theorist like me, you believe Toxikon II was supposed to be a different attack and it was retconned at the last minute)

    The first Toxikon is an orbital attack, the second is a slightly explosive cross blast from above. Upgrading to an attack that takes the orbital motion and the high point above that now draws an elaborate magic circle that then explodes isn't all that outrageous.

    i mean, yes, that's a pattern, but SE can willfully choose to stop that any time lol. it's a precedent, but not one they have to obey since they freaking created the precedent.

    also, i'm disheartened bc even from this trailer and what few maybe-maybe-not animations were shown off, it looks like combat will be relatively the same. which is the one thing that really needs to be revamped. being a healing main couldn't be more boring.
    Let's be honest, FFXIV team is not known for getting out of script. People have predicted number of dungeons, skills (and which levels we get them) , trials, gear, ilv for years now.

    And I agree, they really need to shake combat up.
