Thoughts On: Updating Gatherer's logbook, Treasure maps w/ solo vs 8man

Just thinking and in game way of looking up Treasure map locations and type on gatherer logbook menu without having to go to town/AH or internet to look up.

We already have an in-game way of looking up Treasure map locations: Decipher map. Pull up map for indicated region. Locate treasure map on region map. Profit.

That's kinda the point. Otherwise, the game might as well just post coordinates in the chat log and call it a day.

It would be straightforward enough for the SB/ShB/EW maps to be listed in the gathering log but HW would be more complicated and ARR a total disaster. I don't know if SE would be willing to add the maps to the gathering log. To me, it seems like something they would have already done if they were interested.

Considering the solo maps can also appear on the nodes with the 8 man maps, I just head to the zone that has the x8-x9 normal crafting material nodes and then move between nodes until the one I want appears (using Luck of the Pioneer/Mountaineer as needed). The exception would be the Archaeoskin maps from HW, those I frequently come cross in Dravanian Forelands though I'm usually going to Hinterlands to get the Wyvernskin maps (hunter's life).

The ARR solo maps are a mess. There are too many solo map types with too much overlap. I definitely recommend looking those up online.
