My hopes for Live Letter LXXX

I'm excited for Dawntrial, and everyone around me is. There is so much to look forward too, but we all have more wishes for the developers. Here are my hopes to see from Live Letter LXXX to understand Dawntrial better:

1. More dungeons than 5.

During leveling, what I wish to look forward is instead of 5 dungeons (91, 93, 95, 97, and... 99), we get 7, so there is a trail or a dungeon every leveling level. This makes the excitement much bigger, and you can play combat more oftenly.

2. Warrior of Light talking

Anyone getting goosebumps when the Warrior of Light talked at the end of Shadowbringers? I'm not the only one, I know... Imagine if Warrior of Light can talk again and more oftenly. That would make it more immersive, knowing that... my character is finally talking and not just nodding.

3. Revealing Erenville's love interest

I just have a feeling that Erenville has a love interest, and well know in Dawntrial. I'm ultra ultra excited to know if Erenville maybe likes a man, a woman, or even the Warrior of Light. I can see Erenville totally falling for Warrior of Light, and if so that confirms he is a bisexual, which is the first in Final Fantasy's history (after Dion in FF16, the first gay).

Erenville and WoL, the next couple to be introduced after Golbez and Zero?

4. Beastmaster training pets to follow everywhere

If Beastmaster can train pets that can follow everywhere, like a Companion, that would be cool as Heck. It would be like Chocobo, but with different abilities, like rabbit finding treasure in Eureka. At first, we have 5 pets that can capture by Beastmaster. But each patch adds a new pet. You can then carry the pet to any dungeon or trail, so that they are like a second part of your job for everyone that can Heal, Damage, or even Utility.

5. Deleted guildleve roulette

Guildleve roulette is so disappointing, and each day I find it the most worst roulette to do. (Yes, I have OCD and have to do all) What you do is go in, become a Lv 10 with No Abilities on your hotbar, than kill a gobbue that doesn't threat you any way. At the end you get only 500 XP. They better delete guildleve, and make space for another type of roulette that is more fun, like a Bozja roulette.

Question on the Bi part: Do you mean Eren would be of WoL? I’m not big on FF lore and games outside of 14.

Frankly I’d prefer my character not to be (ie: a decline option) but, and I can’t emphasize this enough, if romance is included in the game for WoL I would definitely prefer options for everyone. If you want your WoL to be gay, bi, or anything else it should be an option.

I’d like dungeons every 2 levels but only make the required ones at, say 81, 84, 88. The reason I say that is selfishly I now live 12 hours away from my server time. The only times I can play the queue is dead… and when I’m asleep they are alive.

Agreed on beast master! Excited to see a pet class. After a decade, as balance impossible as it is, still dreaming of a day where we can see retainers adventure with us.

As much as I would love this, they'd need to record voiced lines in every single voice you could possibly select for your character, and that's a lot of expense for even just one voiced line. They were able to use Ardbert's voice in Shadowbringers and make it work, but there are too many types of potential voices for it to be workable in the long run.

Unfortunately, SE has said they're not going to include romance for the WOL in the game. Their main reasoning for not forcing a love interest on the WOL is that they don't want to force it on the players, which is fully understandable. Even with an optional romancing system, though, they've said that they want to keep creative freedom over the characters and may send them off to far-reaching locations, and they don't want players who may have romanced those characters to become upset when things like that happen. However, you never know if they might include a romance between NPCs. So it may be possible for Erenville to have a love interest in Tural... We'll have to wait and see!

For example my WOL is married to deryk who I would assume is not high on the list of candidates to be made into a romance option, meanwhile a candidate that would be high on the list- graha, my WOL hates for various reasons related to his past, having the game just randomly have graha confess (even in a side quest) messes up my lore because graha knows my WOL doesn’t like him

I don't have a lot of hopes for the stream, besides maybe seeing some new job defining actions. But let's be real, there's not going to be any of that outside of maybe Warrior or Black mage.

WOL talking? not a chance.

WOL romance? the WOL is you. they have to stay neutral because a romance can't be forced upon a person if they don't want it.

The game kind of already messes with your headcanon, as there are many scenes where the WOL treats G'raha as an important friend. SE tries to keep a balancing act of making the WOL feel real and fleshed out while also allowing for player freedom of expression, but sometimes they do force things on you, such as your relationships with the Scions and other important characters. You can mentally edit those things out of your headcanons as needed, though.

Personally, I'm in favor of an optional "friendship" system where the players can get to know some of the characters by doing side questlines that delve more into their personal issues. It should be completely optional - no rewards other than simply experiencing the quests - so no one feels forced to deepen their friendship with any character unless they want to. I'd like to see some things bleed into the msq too, such as referring to characters by nicknames they allow you to use if you've done the sidequests (so if you haven't done the sidequest, you use their full name), or maybe an additional dialogue option here and there to show your closeness with the characters if you have done their sidequests. I basically just want to deepen my friendships with them, and have the story reflect it a little bit. They could start with the Scions and add more and more characters as they go along (so maybe characters like Deryk could be included eventually, too).

If Eren fell in love with the WoL he would be Bisexual because the WoL can be girl or boy.

Waste of resources TO YOU! Speak for your own. There is already Romance everywhere in the game, like Golbez and Zero, Ryne and Gaia.
