Nerf gil profit from submarine

Can SE nerf this already? Has been 3-4? years of unlimited gil making for the hardcore nerds, that own like 20 FC houses themselves and a ton of submarines, while having too much time on their hands.

This is encouraging people to buy up plots and leave them empty just to make submarines over months.

Inflation is a thing.



Make hard PvE content that gives gil and has monster itemdrops maybe. Stop catering to solo players, this is a MMORPG.

Yet you’re missing the point for those that actually work together to build the damn thing. To even get to that level of profit you’re spending close to 3-6 months barring RNG just to set yourself up for success. It’s only been 3 for my FC and we just finished fitting our sub with SSUC++(which, mind, takes over 500k Seals’ worth of materials). It’s a massive undertaking to do it by yourself.

And yet, in the wards where mine are, there are mostly empty plots. I mean, it's so easy to get a FC up on Materia, you can have a ward to yourself and now even transfer the loot back to NA or EU when you want to.

(a friend has an alt with her own little FC cause she's a hoarder... >.< But she can't bid on her main toon when we try to get a bigger house in our FC cause her alt has one. I even made an alt to shove in her alt fc and take over and kick her alt out to get rid of the hidden house owner tag on a toon that wins a bid [as in her toon]. That worked... she could help us bid on the next one. Then her alt came back in the alt FC and now her main can't bid again, when MY ALT should be the owner AND the hidden owner...)

How is one single player owning 20 FC's? Or are u pullign crap outta your behind? that first screenshot.... LOL they prolly saved those things up for YEARS (or at least 1)... And u do realize most people are normal people in an FC with only one set of ships right? If one person is somehow making that much off that stuff by themselves and doing NOTHING but that.... so what? IT bother you somehow? I'd say not.

I mean they aren't wrong. We can own as many fc houses as we want on the same account. Character A bids, Character A wins. Transfers lead to an alt, leaves that fc. Now they start a new fc/join another and start over again. Its a fairly straight forward and not complex process at all. So in this one instance, they aren't pulling crap outta their behind. Everything else, well yea I'm mostly with you.

The fact you think I'm angry over this makes it all better lol. I'm laughing at how overly invested you all are in the way others play the game. People on the opposite side of this have nothing to be angry over, quite frankly the other side doesn't either. The only common ground is that its pathetic how most are using 3rd party to simplify an already simple process. Kinda stupid if you ask me since it only takes less than 10mins per fc as is(being generous). But anyway, thank you for making this much better for me lol. So they just make an alt account to pass the fcs onto alts of the main one, repeat. I mean you just answered yourself how it's possible, what? having at least 2 accounts is sub farm scumbag rule 101

1.) People do not have to decorate their house if they do not want to. Decoration is 1 of 3 gameplay options tied to a house. It is not the reason for owning a house.

They can buy a house strictly for, decorating, gardening, or for workshopping. SE designed this system and locked two gameplay options behind it.

A better solution would be to ask SE to remove the workshop and gardens from physical plots so that every FC can have access to them regardless of owning a plot.
This would be a good faith way of freeing up houses from those who are only in it for the workshop (as is their right).

But newsflash, subs are just a bonus for a lot of us, not the main draw. You think someone that owns a ward is gonna give that up because salvage goes away?


Not to mention, most sublords that are not interested in decoration goes for the unwanted uncontested smalls. The housing crisis is not on the large fighting over FC designated smalls.

2.) There are still open FC plots right now on almost every world, so what is this solving? We're not out of FC houses even on Balmung but you want to discourage people so that there are more empty plots sitting unused?

This post comes off as immature and petty, your interest is not in building a solution that benefits everyone or even true MMO gameplay.

I thought about that too, giving apartments a workshop or having it at the other door at Grand Companies, instead of having it tied to housing.

I think plots that are not decorated look worse over time than empty plots, which would be open to invite friends to. We can compare housing at next addon again, now it is a bit dead.

to 3: Yes I think making millions every week for waiting around is a bit much. What is there for gameplay? Do I get to be a pirate that sets foot into a submarine and steers it into the depth to collect and salvage some hidden treasures? No, it is 2 button clicks and a cutscene that gets autoskipped, and $$$$ voila you have gil. That sounds pretty boring to me and not very engaging. I want to play a game to earn gil, PvE orientated especially, as I mentioned, not clicking through some menus with numbers and a whole real time day delay tied to it.

Nice to admit that it is "easy money" at least xD.
