Hydaelyn & Zodiark Figure Packaging Removal Needs Extra Care

With the numerous posts noting that these statues have been arriving broken, I've been pretty anxious about mine.

Well I received it today and let me tell you, this is the best wrapped statue of them all. None of the other Meister statues have had this amount of individual pieces wrapped or supported in the box. It has so much plastic wrapping each and every individual part it's almost ridiculous. SE didn't even wrap the Sephiroth statue this well.

After accidentally almost tugging off a bit of Hyda's dress, it occurred to me that some of the broken statues may have been due to user error and not just our postal services drop kicking our boxes.

So please if you're still waiting on yours, if it's not broken due to shipping, take the extra time to gently remove the plastic. This statue has more intricate and delicate parts in the wings and dress that WILL break off if you tug too hard.

If during unwrapping there is a high chance you cause damage, its definitely not the best wrapped statue. Sure, the other ones might be less fragile, but it should be highly unlikely to break things while unwrapping regardless. If this happens its a flaw in the wrapping.

You must assume people will unwrap poorly, because the one unwrapping isnt always the one who purchased it. Especialy in households other people can decide to unwrap stuff anyway. There is the case of careless parents (VERY common), and these are obviously the most likely to do this. Teaching your parents not to do that is not an option (you can try, but often enough it will be ignored completely).

And note, while your experience of delivery can be fine, i have seen plenty of cases where its the opposite. Some people will deliberately try to destroy things when they know its potential contents, or when they want to get fired and live on taxes instead. Packaging can prevent some damage, but excessive force cannot be acted upon. And yes, that they throw the box 5m away is sadly not rare.

Oversizing the packaging is generaly the best way to take care of such abuse (allows a lot of buffer room). Yet it does often increase costs significantly.

Realy, there can be many things that went wrong. I think the ones unwrapping it, if its for themselve as collector are the least likely to cause these problems.

Any idea how to remove the plastic that goes around Hydaelyn? Because i can't get it off because it seems to be stuck to the back.
