The problem with warrior is Xeno throws a fit if it's not the best.
His man child rants about war are legendary.

I would say it was the developers first who devalued the role when they made the changes to lucid dreaming and them alright saying they don't want healers to worry about mp management.
Why not both? Current state of WAR is like playing dodge ball where he doesn't get eliminated by getting hit and wins if he catches even one ball. How this can be perceived as fun by anyone, especially the dev team is well beyond my comprehension.
The level of immaturity in that grown-arse man is a disgrace. His solution to the issue at hand is to "give healers more to do." But he will cry if that entails keeping his butt alive. I admire confidence in a tank main, not arrogance. The former makes me feel secure, the latter just makes me want to abandon the duty.
Remember guys. If job dev makes a wrong judgment call, just blame the playerbase then we can 'pray' again for another 3 years![]()
The playerbase cannibalizing itself has basically always been the modus operandi. The JP players are blaming us, we're blaming the JP players and each other, when in fact none of us are responsible for the state that these jobs are in, we're not developing the damn game.
Even if we ask for certain changes, the awful implementations are still not us.
You understand that this view is a two-way street, correct? The playerbase is pretty damn quick to give themselves credit when the dev team implements something based on player feedback that has positive reception. It's also quite the coincidence that anything they seem to do right is always based on player feedback. The playerbase cannibalizing itself has basically always been the modus operandi. I think what they are trying to achieve is:Obviously, the issue is that the buffs to the other tanks, especially WAR and PLD, made them superior to DRK and its TBN. In fact, Bloodwhetting applies a shield half as powerful as TBN in addition to damage reduction in addition to high potency heals. It’s objectively better than TBN while in Shadowbringers, when paired with Fell Cleaves/Inner Chaos, it was at best as good or worse since it wasn’t really mitting.
- Balance with DRK, which had the best survival kit in Shadowbringers due to TBN. In comparison, PLD had no heals except clemency and was more squishy. WAR was squishy but a good one could heal themselves back up. GNB was in between WAR and PLD - squishy, but not as much as PLD. But DRK was virtually invincible due to TBN.
- To match the increased outgoing damage in Endwalker. If you did the leveling dungeons as well as Dead Ends - they hurt a lot, even with all these heals. TBN had that covered, but the other tanks not so much without these buffs.
So the intention made sense to me, it just went overboard to where you can solo through half the mechanics in an ex trial.
Who actually pats themselves on the back when the devs implement popular requests? You didn't do jack besides ask for something, so both good and bad implementations are on them. You understand that this view is a two-way street, correct? Unless we get to the point where we need to specifically detail how to implement something.

I'm just talking about in terms of Blatant Developer favortism.
BLM managed to get buffed to compete with RDM in a patch this expac, while already being miles ahead of RDM in terms of damage, and the less we say about the insane pvp buffs it got, followed by the "its not favoritism I swear" blogpost the better.
Likewise, on top of the constant unended patch by patch buffs of WAR, SIO Overtime was a completely uneeded buff WAR got for basically no real reason, they decided the king of utility tank should have even more utility, on top of damage and everything else.
