Snow zone. Final fantasy does it quite tastefully.
Snow zone. Final fantasy does it quite tastefully.
Underwater stuff (only done minimally in FFXI in the undersea ruins- but you wouldn't really know you're underwater if you didn't visit one of the few rooms that actually have windows)By underwater I mean like you get a special aqualung item or whatever and you're actually walking on the lake/oecan floor.
Also hot lava zones. much more hot lava-y than places like Ifrit's Caldron from FFXI. I mean very lava-y and hot like magmoor caverns in metroid prime or lethal lava land in super mario 64.
Snowy / Blizzard Zone, preferably with a mountain area. (Xarcabard, Mt.Gagazet, Paramina Rift)
Crystal Forest, Crystal Cave. (Macalania Woods)
Vast Plain Area. (Ozmone Plain, Calm Land)
Mountain Paths, Mountain Area. (Mosphoran Highwaste, etc)
Temple / Ruins. (Tomb of Raithwall, Ridorana Cataract etc)
Misty Area, Wetlands. (Nabreus Deadlands, Feywood)
Underwater Area / City / temple.
Sky Continent / Area.
Sand Dunes. (Yensa Sandsea, Valkurm Dunes)
I never played XI so my knowledge of it is limited![]()
I really liked Qufim in FF11, with all the snow and Gigas'
zi'tah and aydeewa subterrane
"Unbelievable wipes... indescribable failings. Whining, bitching, rage quitting - through an endless party find." - Doho, A Whole New Whorl
The decaying remnants of an advanced ancient civilization would be up my street.
Edit: Zombie/mutant like creatures not necessary.![]()
Any type of area has the potential to be incredible. It just depends on how creative they are with it.
I generally love to see bizzare rock formations, alien plants, and strange colors.
And yet I hated Avatar...hmm.
Oh yeaahhh
I really enjoyed FFXI's past areas. The war torn landscape, the less than hopeful music that played in almost every area, etc etc, really built the atmosphere. Seeing areas similar to those would be amazing.
