    Information request about subscription

    Hello everyone ^^

    I play on Windows and have an active service account with basic subscription.

    I bought the complete edition of the game on Xbox to play it on console (for Dawntrail because my PC won't be able to run it), so I linked my Square Enix account to the console.
    I found my active characters.

    I connected to Mogstation and in the XBox tab, I see that an FFXIV coin system appears.

    My question is the following :
    I pay a monthly subscription to play on PC, so do I have to pay a monthly subscription again to play on XBox???

    Paying the license for the full game at 55 euros on Xbox (pay a licence for other platforms is one thing, paying for a second subscription is another...)

    You should not need to pay an additonal sub for 14, best to be explained like this

    You need to buy the game for any platform

    but only need one sub for one service account

    In your situation, you use the same account for PC and Xbox.
    This means that you have access to your Characters on either platform, but also requires that you buy each version of Dawntrail to have access to it on both platforms for example.

    So, if you buy Dawntrail on Xbox only, you can't access it while on your PC, you can still play on PC, but would need to buy the expansion on each platform to access its content (just an example).

    This means that you only pay one subscription to access both platforms.

    Except but this, the Xbox version has a secondary requirement to play this game, you need to have an active Game Pass (Core or Ultimate) subscription as well.
    So, this means that you have to pay for Game Pass and also this games subscription to be able to play on Xbox FFXIV.

    You can pay for your Xbox subscription on the MogStation since you have the PC version to get around the FFXIV coin thing, which I believe is only for Xbox only subscribers.
    But you must also pay for Game Pass to gain access to your Xbox version.

    One subscription on MogStation = PC access
    Game Pass on Xbox = PC and Xbox access

    Ok ! thanks a bunch ^^

    And yep I have the game pass ultimate ^^ and I have bought the game's licence on both platforms ... but yeah I was afraid (because I know Microsoft & the politic, to have to pay another sub) ... It's not really clear on the mog station, 2 tabs, 1 for windows/mac/ps4/ps5 and another for Xbox

    But fine, thanks again & have a good game !
